Sorry to hear the envie has yet to arrive. I'm noticing it's taking about a week for my senders envies to reach me too.

Put this weeks envie in the mail.

The USPS needs an energy drink or two. They're slow, slow, slow.

Now a message for all our train riders:

I know I've said this before but a reminder for everyone. It is crucial that we get an envie out on Monday each week even if it is small and contains only the coupons from the newest insert or inserts. If we wait until our envie arrives (and that could be on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday, etc. etc. you know how it goes....) it means your train buddy probably won't receive an envie that week. That puts everything off kilter for everyone following you in the train route. So PLEASE, everyone, mail something every Monday and then whenever that slowpoke envie finally arrives, go through it and try to forward it the next day. If it is REALLY late and doesn't get there until Friday or Saturday, I can understand why you would want to wait until Monday. Thank you for your cooperation on this, everyone.

Received 3 envies last week! Mailed to ShiPooOwner yesterday.

Last week's finally arrived yesterday at about 5 P.M. Latest mail delivery ever here. I think our mail carrier was dodging trash cans and debris from the weekend's storm that people had put out on the curbs for pick up. It couldn't have been easy for her. Hope this week's envie will get here faster but with the holiday on Monday, who knows? TIA!

I know what you mean. Mine hadn't arrived from last week either so the one I sent was pitifully small, too, but it's so important for us to mail something/anything on Monday to keep the train rolling. Thank you, thank you!

I'm not sure what's happening with the post office lately! Even at my job, I'm getting mail that was postmarked from 2 or 3 weeks prior that should never have taken this long! One thing I DO know is that the USPS contracts out a lot of their work to independent contractors and companies. They pick up mail at certain locations and it gets sorted out elsewhere. My ex-husband used to work p/t at a place where they would be sorting the US mail. Also, at my job, there is just some random guy who picks up our outgoing mail. Our mail is delivered to us by regular USPS employees, though.

IMPORTANT! TO OUR TRAIN RIDERS IN THE EAST!!

If you are being affected by the storms in the Eastern part of the US this weekend and into Monday, PLEASE do not feel you have to head out to get a newspaper or try to drive to a mailbox or anything along those lines. It's just not worth it because the stores probably aren't even going to have newspapers delivered to them to sell. IF you have coupons to mail and IF it's safe to walk to a mailbox or put them in your mailbox for pick up at some point in time, that's good but we will all understand if your coupons have to wait or never get sent this week. Please don't take any chances. If you have power and if you can't get coupons out, please try to post a little message on the thread about how it's going for you. You are all in our thoughts. Stay safe, warm, and well!!!

We're taking a pounding with this snow right now! We've already gotten at least a foot and it's not going to let up until tomorrow morning! The local news is predicting 20" and they have declared a State of Emergency already. I love the snow, though, so I'm not upset over it!

A little off-topic here but does anyone know the legitimate IRS refund cycle this year? They haven't posted it on their site and the only other ones I've seen are from various blogs (but not really reliable). I know last year, I had my federal refund very quickly (less than a week) and the state in about 2 weeks. (I love e-file!)

The IRS has a refund cycle chart that they post each year (except this year!). It's hard to find a legit one because there are a ton of blogs and websites but you never know if they're on-point or scammy.

Since I have no property or any deductions (other than the standard), I file the same day I get my W2. I e-filed and it was "accepted" last week. I'm just waiting for my refund so I can pay a few bills, save some and do some shopping!

Coupons arrived yesterday.

Our mail service has been shotty this winter. USPS and FedEx have both been sketchy in their pick up and delivery of items. We're constantly receiving messages for items that we're tracking that they are delayed due to weather, even if it's reasonable here and an item should be out for delivery.

Hard to tell when the envie arrived from xxStaceFacexx this week -- we only got to the mailbox one time. Have an envie ready to go to RangerPooh for Monday. After 3 snow days, and a weekend, we are looking forward to being back in civilization tomorrow.
