If no one wants the Build a Bear or Huggies coupons (expiring in mid/late December) I'll either send them down the train or post them to the rest of the board.

When you first posted I thought it was very kind. But we already have our BAB coupon hanging on the fridge ready for our next trip. :) Good Luck sharing it.

Feel better soon, Paula. I've done that and I know how it hurts.

Let's do a little informal Thanksgiving poll for our riders who want to participate.

Are you

A. Hosting Thanksgiving at your house
B. Going to family or friends' house for Thanksgiving
C. Going to a restaurant for Thanksgiving
D. Other?

Well, this is my first Thanksgiving in 32 years away from home. I have never moved away from home until 2 months ago. My husband is Air Force and we moved 3 hours away from home so for the first time ever we will be traveling home for the holidays... I have always heard of people doing that and it sounds crazy but I wanted to be one of those people to say I was going home for the holidays and now I can say I am..We are leaving tonight (Wed) for my parents and my husband and I will be returning tomorrow night alone..:cool1: the kids are going to stay with my parents til saturday and do their traditional Black Friday thing of putting up the Christmas decorations at her house....

I completely know how you feel about "traveling home"! When I moved to NY after DH and I married, I went "home" to Va the 2nd year for Thanksgiving...it felt great to be able to say I was going home for the holidays  Distance definitely makes the heart grow fonder and I swear that was the best turkey day ever! (although my grandmother said I was too thin and wasn't eating enough in NY lol).

Uff da....I wish someone ever told me I look too thin, Pumpkinfish! :rotfl2:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and no matter where you are or who's doing the cooking, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! :) I know I have much to be thankful for!
::yes::

If you're traveling, please be safe and remember next week's mailing (Dec. 1) is OPTIONAL. Our next required mailing is on Monday, Dec. 8th. :wave2:

Eeeekkkkk!!!! :goodvibes

That's my happy shriek because I got my first coupon envie!!! Thank you so much colusapj! I especially loved the baking items and Airborne (LIVE off of this during cold/flu months :) ).

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! DH and I are about to hit the road :) I'll check in next week :grouphug:

Hope you all had a great Turkey Day and didn't eat as much as I did. :p In regards to BF, I didn't think there was anything I really wanted to buy tomorrow. Well......... then I made the disastrous mistake of looking through the ads again while puppysitting for our friends. :coffee: Now I have at least six stores on my list.....but I definitely will not be appearing anywhere at 4 or 5 A.M. :scared1: If you're going shopping tomorrow, good luck and don't get trampled! :crowded: This train wants you back safe and sound! ;)

No problem, Hope you are feeling better!!!

Wilsonfamily4, the envie arrived today and has some good stuff in it! Thank you! :flower3: (Isn't it funny how the envie this week arrived a day earlier than last week's even though there was a holiday in it? :confused3 Doesn't make sense! :dance3: Oh well.....)

I got 2 envies today, WOOHOO:cool1:

Thanks you, I'm on a tight budget and this is helping us alot.:thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

I received my envelope today but had no return address info on there. I am assuming it is from who I received from last week. Thank you!
:)

Hi Train Riders! Can't believe this four-day holiday is zoooooming by so fast. Here it is Saturday already. :hourglass :

Unfortunately, now I've got to get a little grouchy. :scared1: We need to be more careful about checking our coupons for expiration dates before we send them on to our train buddy. My rule of thumb is never send anything that expires in less than a week AFTER your train buddy receives it. That is the very bare minimum and longer than a week is actually better. Example: If you skip Dec. 1 (which I think many of us will) and wait until Dec. 8 to mail, none of the coupons you send should expire before Dec. 18. Why? Because it takes on an average of 3-4 days for the USPS to deliver it to your train buddy. They won't receive your envie until approximately Dec. 10, 11, or 12. Many people can't get to the stores within a day or two after receiving the coupons. We have to allow some time for them to look through them, organize, and then use them. If you can send coupons that don't expire for 2-4 weeks that is even better! :thumbsup2 What to do with those nearly expired coupons? I can PM you the name and address of two military families overseas that would LOVE to have your expired coupons. They can use them six months beyond their printed expiration. It costs no more to mail them an envie than it does to mail within the U.S. Let me know if you're interested in helping them out in this manner. ::yes::

Now having complained a little in the above, I fully realize many/most of us are extremely careful about checking our expiration dates and I want to give those of you who do that a round of applause and a hug if I could reach you. :grouphug: You're da greatest so sincere thanks! :cheer2: :thanks:

Now just a few more reminders and I'll get off my soap box. :thumbsup2 Monday, Dec. 1, is an optional day to mail to your train buddy. Instead of mailing that day, maybe we should go through our coupon banks that we plan to send and make sure the expirations are after Dec. 18. Dec. 8 is our next required mail date. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post when you mail out and when you receive your envies so no one is wondering and not knowing what's going on. To those of you who always do that, ANOTHER BIG round of applause~~again you're da greatest! :cheer2: :thanks: :cheer2: :thanks: :cheer2:

We have a couple new train riders :yay: joining us on Dec. 8. I'll be PMing a few of you with a new sender and/or a new receiver of your coupons. As always, thanks for your understanding and cooperation when we have to make a few switches in the order of our train cars.

Okay, I'm done now and will be quiet for a while. :ssst: Enjoy the Thanksgiving leftovers and have a fabulous weekend. We're going Christmas tree hunting in a little bit. :woohoo:

Well, it looks like P & G didn't let us down this week. Hope everyone got their P & G insert in today's Sunday paper. It's a pretty good one, too! :thumbsup2 I think I am still going to wait until Dec. 8 to mail out. I need time to look through my coupon bank and get it better organized. If you decide to mail tomorrow, please post that here so they can be expecting its arrival. Have a happy Sunday, train riders. :yay:
