I am thinking that the Coupon Binder is going to be the better option for me. I know that some say to have baseball card inserts and others mention photo album inserts.

What other inserts are your favorites and where can I purchase them?
Where can I specifically get the album inserts that have different insert sizes?
What is the BEST zippered Binder out there that has tons of space and has a great zipper? I hate when it's hard to zip binders.
I am excited about getting them most use out of my expired coupons and saving in general. I have used coupons for a while now, but am just going to get organized.

TIA to all the experts.

I use photo inserts, with 3 pockets per page (I think 3x5). I bought them at Staples. I use 2 packages in a 3" thick binder. My binder is left from grad school, two decades ago!, so I can't help you with the zippered question. You might want to go to office stores and zip/unzip all the binders :)

I don't use a zippered binder because (1) I had this big one in the basement, (2) I didn't want to pay $$ for a new one, and (3) I do not take my binder with me when I go shopping so I don't have to worry about coupons falling out of the binder.

I use a zippered binder I got at walmart and the baseball card inserts. If you want to see it click on my blog link in my signature. I did a post for it for a friend that wanted to see it.

I too am just recently needing to know the best way to organize my coups...I started with the binder, the probem with that is by the time I put all my coupons in, before being able to cycle out the expired ones, it got sooo heavy. I had to buy like 5 pks of baseball card inserts, and then a binder that i got on sale at Meijers.
I just switched to the coupon box.. (savingsaddiction.com) I like it much better because I DO bring my coupons with me, and it fits nicely in my cart, and takes up less room. The box is cheaper too, like 2.95 and I made the files with cardstock I have a two year old so its easier to have both my hands and just be able to file through my coupons.. I hope this helps, they are both good methods, it just depends on what you like. With box, I go through once a month at home, and throw away the expired ones, but I like it better anyways!

Happy Money Saving.. I love coupons!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

i have tried it all ways and i love my binder i actually have one i found for 50 cents at a garage sale. It has 2 zippered sides so i have food on one side and household on the other. I have my coupons organized in the order of the store i use most kroger...and all i do is flip to the page and look and see if i have a coupon for what i am looking for. I take all my coupons all the time. Just case something is on sale or clearance your not aware of.

I just tried the binder a few months ago and could not get it to work for me. I haven't given it up totally, but the coupons are mostly too big for the baseball card pockets and they fall out when I fold them.

I used to use an accordian style coupon organizer but I was TERRIBLE with it. I never put duplicate coupons together, I never went through to pull out expired ones, and I always THOUGHT I had a coupon but I couldn't find it because I sometimes stuck them in the wrong slots. I had to switch and someone mentioned the binder so that is how I started mine.

I know others have used not only baseball card slots, but also photo page refills and things like that. I am thinking of using an assortment of different slots for my coupons.

I just attended a coupon class last weekend and those ladies sold a tote-type bag/box. It's hard to describe, but there are regular size folders in it and you don't actually clip any coupons, you file the whole insert by type and date. Then when the websites refer to the 6/20/10 Red Plum insert, you just go to that file and pull out the coupon you need. Also, you can go to sundaycouponpreview.com and print off a list of the coupons in each insert and put that in the front of the folder, sort of as a table of contents of what's inside -- to prevent you from having to flip through the entire insert to find a coupon you need. I'm just starting it, but so far I've liked it. I especially like that I can go right to a recommended coupon to get good deals and/or freebies. If I could remember how to post a picture, I would.....
