Couples Massages

My wife and I will be going without the kids for the first time. We are looking to get a couples massage while we are there. We have narrowed it down to the Spa at the GF and the Spa at the Swan and Dolphin. Anyone who as visited these two spas I would appreciate if you could tell me about them. Also everyone else who has had a massage at WDW, but it was not at one of these spas I would appreciate if you could tell me where you received it, and would you recommend it to a friend.

I have not had a massage at WDW (will some day!), but have visited the spa at Saratoga Springs a couple of times after doing work outs there, and it is beautiful! My DBIL won a swedish massage last year at our DVC summer block party, and he said it was wonderful!

I have had a couple of massages at Disney...mostly at the CSR. Although my husband and I have not done one together, when we were there in 2004 with our oldest son and his then girlfriend, I treated her to a massage at the Grand Floridian. Becuase she was only 17, we had to be in adjoining rooms with the curtain open. It was very nice and she really enjoyed herself. Although I do not like the resort itself, the spa was quite nice.

My husband and I have done the Couples Treatment at the Mandara Spa (Swan / Dolphin) twice now and it is wonderful.

You first will be taken to a private treatment room with a whirlpool tub for two and have a nice warm relaxing soak for about 30 minutes. The room itself is very dim but lovely, with handcarved wooden accents, flowers, and candles.

Then your massage therapists will knock on a side door that leads into an adjacent room where you will have your massages, which are usually about 80 minutes, give or take.

There is a lovely lounge area with tea and citrus water where you can spend as much time as you want after your treatment is over. There are lounges, and comfy chairs, and long sofas all overflowing with pillows and cushions - I don't even have the words to describe how lovely the setting is.

I am a huge fan of Mandara Spas, but of the ones I've been to this one is by far the best and most lavishly decorated. The service and treatments have always been wonderful.
