1. Were the renovations ever completed there? And if so, any idea when they will be?

Besides updated/non-updated rooms, is there much difference between Sports, Music and Movies in your opinion?

2. What DVC resorts offer studios that will sleep 5 people?

1. All of Movies and some of Music have been updated.

2. Beach Club, Boardwalk, Boulder Creek, Poly and Grand Floridian

As far as the differences between the all stars. Other than the obvious theme difference, Music is located between movies and sports. It has more of a long skinny layout so the rooms at the very back of the property are a little bit further from the main building than the furthest buildings at the other two all stars. https://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmusicmap.htm

If you are sleeping five people in a DVC studio, make sure at least three of them are smaller sized people, children. The murphy bed is not even twin sized; it's bunk sized - shorter and narrower.

Movies was the last of the All-Stars to be built and they did "plus" it a bit-the Lobby and Food Court are nicer and there is an area called the Reel Spot ,where they sometimes show Movies and the occasional sporting event(and Friday Morning Yoga Classes Pre-Covid), that Sports and Music don't have.

The Lobbies and Food Courts at Sports and Music are "twins".

Good to know! We watched movies there a couple times when we went on our last trip. The kids really enjoy that. They loved visiting the Toy Story section too, and playing with all the decorations there.

Toy Story section is AMAZING!

I can only imagine what it is like to be a young Child and walk into that thing! :)
