This will be my first cruise, I was wondering if I can get the 10% off at gift shop with my visa card. To my understanding merchandise gets charged to the stateroom?
At the end when paying off the account, can I use a gift card? I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do this.

As my second question, I bought an autograph book for my niece, but are the characters doing signatures? The sailing is late January.

You do get a 10% discount as long as the total is over $50. Your Disney Visa needs to be added to your onboard account, or you can use the actual card in the store. Make sure and mention the Disney Visa when making purchases.

You'll have to have your Disney visa attached to the account. Make sure there's a V on your KTTW somewhere (if there's not, visit guest services and they'll give you a sticker). 10% off purchase of 50 or more - some exclusions (which I don't know off hand, but I don't think it's anything that would shock you). You can then visit guest services and pay off your account with gift cards. However, you would need to do so before your account reaches the threshold amount for when they charge your account (which I don't remember).

Set-up your onboard account with the Disney Visa as payment. Then anytime after you board, stop by Guest Services and put the gift card on the account also. The gift card should be used for any charges before DCL puts anything through to the Visa.
