Couple of quick questions

I'm new to DLP but planning to go in September this year. I've got a couple of questions that I hope should be quick for you guys to answer :-

(1) If we book through the official DLP website for 5 nights/6 days, does this include park passes for 6 days or just 5? (i.e. can you go in the park on the last day - the one that you wouldn't be staying the night in the hotel?)

(2) There will be 8 of us going and we are looking at Davy Crockett. We would obviously therefore need 2 cabins. I was looking to book through the website to get Quidco cashback but as far as I can tell would have to do this as 2 separate bookings. My question is therefore about how to ensure that the 2 cabins are next to/near to each other. I did telephone the booking line today and their response was to either book over the phone with them (so no Quidco) or do it as 2 bookings and then phone them to get them to link the 2 booking numbers together. They could not however guarantee that the cabins would be near each other even after linking the bookings together but said that "it would be better for them to be linked than not" -

Has anybody got any experience of linking bookings like this? Can you usually trust the bookings office to do things like this or is there a risk that we might end up with cabins at opposite ends of the site? Are we better doing it over the phone and losing out on the Quidco?

Thanks in advance for any help offered

R

Hi r2304 and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Can't help with actual experience of linking bookings but I'd pick what is the most important. If cashback is the primary concern then book through quidco.
If having both cabins together is the primary concern I'd phone through a booking to Disney and ask for adjacent cabins :goodvibes

Hi R and welcome to the DIS :welcome:

I agree, if it's really important to be next/near to each other then book over the phone. :)

Ok...thanks for your advice

Any help with my other question (should be easy to answer for any of you who has been before)?

Thanks

R

Sorry! I missed that one!

Yes, you'll have passes for 6 days so can visit the parks on your last day after you've checked out. :goodvibes

Thanks to both of you for your help so far.

One additional question I've got before I hopefully book this afternoon.........

The hotel FAQ sticky on this forum states that there is a shower over the bath in the DCR cabins but nothing is mentioned on either the official website description or in the brit's guide.

Just wanted to confirm that there should be a shower in the 2 bed cabins we are looking to book? (or even the 1 bed ones).

If so is it decent enough for the whole family to use daily with it being over the bath (i.e. some over the bath showers can just be a mixer coming off the taps and really low pressure etc.)?

Thanks

There is a shower in both the 1 and 2 bed cabins- we have stayed in both but Im sorry I cant remember how good they were

The shower over the bath we had in the 2 bed was perfectly adequate.

Can't remember having any problems with the shower in the cabins. have stayed in both 1 and 2 bedroom cabins
