Couple of questions please

1. We want to try to plan a trip towards the end of Jan of 07. I think checking in on Tuesday and checking out on Saturday.

I figure that this would be a good time to try to trade out a DVC resort since it isn't during the holiday or F/W festival to give one of them a try and check mark them off my list.

What are the chances of getting BW or BCV at the 7 month? Would be 90% going for a 1bdrm. Studio if we couldn't get any other way, but prefer a 1bdrm. Should I do day by day?

2. Which would you take and why? BWStandard or BW preferred?

From reading the boards, I think the BW standars views can be oretty "iffy" any time at the 7 month mark. If I had a choice, I'd always go with a 1 bedroom over a studio Eve though we don't really cook at DVC, it is nice to have the extra room even for coffee, juce and cereal in the morning.

IMHO, your chances are very good to get either BCV or BWV at the end of January - even if you use the 7 month window. BWV standard and guaranteed Boardwalk views will be less likely, but not impossible - there's a good chance that a waitlist for either of those more difficult to book categories will come through (assuming they are not available when you call).

For a BWV stay, my preference is the standard view. We are often lucky enough to get a room that has an IllumiNations fireworks view from the balcony. (Not all standard view rooms have that, though). Since it's your first time at the BWV, my advice would be to try for a guaranteed Boardwalk view. IMHO, everyone should experience that for themselves if they can.

DH and I have reservations fora Boardwalk view studio in May. I was able to book it at the 7 month window and standard view was also available. I am looking forward to trying it but I hope I don't miss SSR too much. My understanding is that studios and 2BR fills up before 1BR so good luck!

I think you'll get what you want, especially if you want a 1 bedroom, for the end of January!

Thanks. I think I have mentioned before, I have a quirk where I want to stay on every Disney owned resort property. So I figured this would be a great time to try one of the smaller DVC resorts to check it off my list.

Nothing quirky about that... unless I'm quirky too! Even though I love SSR I feel like we need to stay at all of them at least once. So far we've stayed at SSR, BCV and in May we will be at the Boardwalk. Hoping to try VWL in August if its available at 7 months.
