Couple of questions about Swan/Dolphin

Decided to take the wife and Daughter to Disney again this summer but the Disney properties are just getting so expensive. Si i decided to do a split stay of 5 nights at the Swan with 2 nights after that at a Disney owned property. This will be our first time at the Swan and we are kind of looking forward to see how it compares and loving the savings. I did have a couple of questions though as this is the first time i have done a split stay or a Swan stay.

First I know Swan does not send Magic bands but we will get them for our 2 night stay i booked for the end of the trip with Disney. My question is while i know you can use "old" magic bands when staying at the swan for park entry it would also make sense that we could use the new ones we get sent while we stay there as well even though it is before our check in date they were sent to us for. Just want to be sure that is the case.

Second, i think i read on here that we also can partake in the Extra Magic hours as well?

Third question, i tried to link the reservation I made with Swan right after making it and it would not link. It did say on the site that sometimes it take up to 24hrs to be able to link, is this something others have dealt with?

Lastly i know i am paying around $32 a day for the "resort fee", Does someone know what is included for this fee?

You'll be able to use the new Magic Bands if tickets are properly associated to your account in My Disney Experience.

Yes, S/D get EMH.

I think the "resort fee" basically is "you get to breathe our air."

It takes 24 to 48 hours to link Swan to MDE, just give it a couple of days and try again.
Yes, you can use your new MBs, they are all interchangeable.
The resort fee gets you a couple of bottles of water a day Off their website https://swandolphin.com/welcome/checkin/resortpackage.html.
