We have a PS for next Sunday night at 6pm. It will be myself, DH and DS who is almost 3. Since the additon of the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks, I am considering changing our PS time. When I called a few weeks ago to possibly do it, the CM said you can't see the fireworks anyway :( and basically talked me into keeping my original PS time!

So, should I try it and just when we check in request a window table, will we be able to see them? What time would be a good time to change to, the fireworks are at 8pm I believe so I was thinking 6:45-7?? How long does the meal typically last? Also, about the activities they do, is their an age limit who can participate? We went to the character breakfast and DS loved walking in the parade around the restaurant so I am just hoping he can do stuff at dinner :D

Thanks!!

There are some windows that face MK, but I'm not sure how well you could see the fireworks. Also, I remember reading a recent restaurant review that commented that the tables along that set of windows were all for large parties. The small tables were along the lagoon view window.

Why not just stick with your original PS time, and then just walk out on the beach to watch the fireworks? It's a pretty good view from there.

I dont' think there is any age limit on the games, but I'm not positive.

The CM was at best misinformed. The window facing MK is enormous and runs the entire length of the restaurant. It is hard to miss seeing the fireworks, though obviously you will have a better view if you have a window table. On the other hand I agree with the post about going down to the beach. Unless it's raining, that's the best way to see them.

The CM is wrong !

You can see the fireworks from there. They even play the music and turn down the lights.

Thanks for the info!:)
I was wondering all the same things and found this thread.
The airline changed our flight so we will arrive 4 1/2 hours earlier than planned.
I thought this a good opportunity to go for dinner at Ohana's and stay to watch the pageant. But we also wanted to see the fireworks.
Now I have to call for PS............thanks.:)

Woah!! That is great!! 4 hours earlier to WDW...excellent!!
Hope you get the PS for 'Ohana :D

They don't have fireworks at MK every night, do they? We are planning on going to 'Ohana on Friday, November, 8th.

Don't worry so much about seeing the fireworks and/or the EWP from 'Ohana..... go to 'Ohana, enjoy your meal, then go wander around the Poly a bit, do some exploring. When it gets dark, wander down to the beach, find some beach chairs, and watch the show(s) from there. Don't worry, you'll enjoy it just as much.

Have fun,
Kevin

I just was wondering if you had a good time in mind to have a p.s., then? I mean, what time for the reservation so you don't feel rushed to eat, and still have time to walk around and sit on the beach for the fireworks. Just wondering for my family's next trip, because we were going to try this on our visit in April, but I wasn't sure everyone would love the food. I still would love to try Ohana in the future. Glad someone brought this up.:D
