Doggmeat-
Thank you. You rock! I have never seen the artwork that you posted in your first scan.
A couple of points of interest about the map:
-notice that there is no swimming pool at the Fort! Today, we are griping about the Meadow Pool being closed, but there used to me no pool! All swimming was done in the lake.
-notice that the 500 loop is called Terry Trail. It is now known to us as Buffalo Bend. But, back then, there were Terry travel trailers set up on this loop. It was not a camping loop.
-notice that none of the current cabin loops are shown-they did not exist yet. The 2100 loop was a regular camping loop, with a comfort station (notice that comfort stations are shown on both 1100 and 2100). The old comfort station is still in the middle of the 2100 loop, but is used by the maintenance staff now.
Doggmeat- do you have anything more? Bring in on!

1500-1900 are on the map. You may be looking at the canal and thinking it's the road, which I did at first too. i wondered where those loops were but then realized the road is to the left.AwesomeI notice no 1600 to 1900 loop or 1500. Really kool!
Does the golf course resort and villas still exist or was it torn down? I don't recall ever seeing that place.
now known as "shades of green" owned/leased by the dod
Nope, anyone can drive in and walk around. There are several dining options. From the Shades of Green Website:Do you have to be military to drive thru the gate to go over and look? I may like to ride over one day. Any kind of restaurant or food court?
Exceptional dining options are available throughout the resort. Relaxed, affordable family meals are available in the Garden Gallery Restaurant. Express Cafe gets you ready for a day of fun with "breakfast on the run" including breakfast sandwiches, fresh bagels, pastries, snacks, coffee, tea, cappuccino and espresso. "America, The Ice Cream Parlor" serves delicious ice cream made right here at Shades of Green. Java Cafe features STARBUCKS coffee and a wide selection of pastries, fruit, and beverages.
81 would seem right. In April 1979 they added the Creekside Meadow group camping area and it is on the map. I think the train stopped running in 1980/81 and it took a little while to take it off the map.sorry so big, still new to this stuff. think these are from '81
