I have booked 4 nights at RPR in December through an agent(Virgin Holidays) in the UK, and am very excited about the stay! I know this doesn't qualify for Loews benefits, though I did join some time ago. Virgin was cheaper than anything they could have offered. Can you still use, and is there any benefit to using, the Loews check in desk?

Also, there was not much chance to request anything other than non smoking, high floor, so would it really be worth while sending a fax, or phoning, to request a room, or does the fact that we have booked through an agent mean we would only get the poorer rooms anyway? We will be in Orlando for the 10 days prior, so a fax may not be easy to so.

Thanks!

If you have your Loews card sure use their check in if the line is shorter. That would be the only benefit I can think of. When you check in it never hurts to ask if you can request your welcome gift. As far as a fax I dont think you have to, I never have. I cant imagine they would block poor rooms based on your method of booking. Maybe just call a few days before leaving to add your loews first # to reservation and to make sure your requests are in your file. Have a great trip!

Has anybody asked for a complimentary upgrade at check-in? If so, did you get one? I have a Loews card but I have used the APH rate so I don't qualify for the perks. We are there in Jan so I don't think it will be too busy.

Do you not qualify for the perks if you use the APH rate? ...I just tried to book a reservation with the APH and with the Lowes member number, and it told me my member number was "invalid." Was it because I had the APH rate?

And also, can't you use the Lowes check-in desk and benefits if you have the number, not necessarily the card? I only signed up a few weeks ago, and don't have the card yet.

Annual Pass rates do not qualify for any of the Loews perks. Sometimes you do get a welcome basket, but do not expect one if booked under the APH rate. You will also not get credit for the stay towards Gold or Platinum.

The APH rate code and the Loews number should have no effect on each other when you booked. You may want to double check your Loews number if it is telling you it is invalid. They have a new system up and running and it may have a glitch. You can call LoewsFirst and double check your number.

Yes, you can use the Loews check-in desk without the card as long as you have the number.
