Couple FastPass Questions

Tomorrow is my window to book FastPass reservations. This is my first time doing it, so I was hoping I could get a couple questions answered.

1.) I am arriving several days before the rest of my party. When I hit the 180 day mark I was able to book meal reservations with them included. Will the same be true with Fastpass? Or will I have to do their FP reservations at their 60 day mark? I am the only person with a MDE account and control everything for my family.

2.) My flight arrives at 2pm on arrival day and was trying to plan a short DHS day and estimate that I would arrive at the park around 5pm. I was hoping to see Beauty and The Beast at 5pm, Disney Junior 5:40pm, hit Toy Story Mania, and then spend the rest of my time at the Osbourne Dessert Party. I assume Toy Story is a no-brainer FP. Or should I do Beauty and the Beast? Should/Could I FP Disney Junior? From what I understand, you have to book FP an hour apart from each other, how does that work for shows with designated times? Also what does "Show" fast pass reservations get you? Assigned seating? Do I have to show up at a certain time before the show to guarantee anything?

1) For anyone connected to your MDE account, you can book FP+ for them on your date.
2a.) See if you get to DHS in time.
2b.) Nope.
3a.) Sorta. Try for whatever you want and see.
3b.) That varies per show.

This kind of information is explained in the FP+ thread found HERE. Read post #1 and #2 for FP+ recommendations and timing advice.

Thanks Robo! Can you tell me how FP works with shows? From everything I have read, you get 1 hour windows with your FP attractions. Does it work the same with shows? Or do I pick an exact show time that I plan to attend? And can I fast pass a 2nd show within 40 minutes of my first FP show?

I think the fp+ is not actually 'an hour apart' but 'not overlapping'. I have a set at AK that look like this: 9:30-10:30 Safari, 10:30 to 10:50 Festival of the Lion King and 11:40-12:40 Tough to Be a Bug. A show FP gets you to not have to wait in the general line, you go straight into the pre-show I know that at FOTLK at AK, it gets you to sit in a specific section. I'm not sure if that's the case at all shows. You just have to show up specifically during the time listed on the FP return window (for my FOTLK I mentioned above, you only have that 20 minutes window to use it, so there's not a lot of wiggle room.)

Yeah, I have read that thread a couple times. I am probably over thinking this. I feel like I am preparing for FP, like I prepared for ADR. It seems FP is way less stressful, and most attractions should be available to me. I should have enough time to play around with it and not stress out on some times getting fully booked.

I think you answered my question scrapquitler! I guess the FP is telling you to arrive between 10:30-10:50 for the 11am show. So you still have that range you need to be in, and also must avoid overlapping. So if I chose to do it, I think I could Fast Pass both the 5pm show for Beauty and The Beast, and the 5:40 show for Disney Junior.

Just make sure you know how long the first show is, and how long it will take you to get from there to the next one and if that will get you there in time for the FP window.
