I'd been meaning to make this for a while. =D

Finally, there are enough country music fans here so that I'm not talking to myself for pages and pages. Now we get to have a lovely thread.

LET'S APPRECIATE COUNTRY! :upsidedow

I saw this coming, Billy!

:rotfl:

I love Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Swift.

I love both of those ladies. And Miranda Lambert, and Reba, and most country ladies.

I don't like one specific country band or singer, but I enjoy Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Sugarland.

:goodvibes Someday you'll become a full-fledged fan and have preferences and everything.

Rascal Flatts is (are?) quite good, too.

They are freakishly amazing. They have a Greastest Hits Album coming out in October.

Rocker Chick invading the Country thread:lmao:

I guess I'm a southern rock fan as well as a country fan.

I've seen Gretchen Wilson, Jo Dee Messina, Toby Keith, Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, and the Charlie Daniels Band in concert.

I love Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, The Lost Trailers, Gary Allan, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Big & Rich and so on.

You've seen a bunch!!

I'd love to see Toby Keith in concert. I've only seen Montgomery Gentry so far.

I soon will.
I'm just learning the ropes.

Keith urban was in Halifax yesterday.
That's all.

Meh. Keith is good, but nowhere near the best.

The list goes: George Harvey Strait > Kenny Chesney > Rascal Flatts > Montgomery Gentry > Big & Rich > Brooks and Dunn > Keith Urban > Alan Jackson > Gary Allan > Jason Aldean

I'm assuming the last three are country trash in your mind Billy?

Nope. Gary and Jason aren't my thing, and Alan has really gone downhill since 5 o Clock Somewhere.

My mom went to see Kenny Chesney when I was too young to know she went.

She was telling me about it a couple months ago.
I was jealous. -_-

Anyways I love Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, and I don't want to say anyone else because I only know a few songs from other singers.

Jo Dee, Gretchen, MG, and TK were all at the first Annual New England Country Music Festival (which was amazing, BTW) about 5 years ago. I've been wanting to go again ever since Kenny Chesney started headlining consistantly (the last 4 have had him), but tickets are waaaay too expensive and my parents don't want to go and I'd have to go alone (boring!).

I saw Alan Jackson around the time he released "Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)" because I remember the first time I heard it was when he played it live and everybody was crying.

The Charlie Daniels Band played a local fair and I've been a fan of them since before I could walk (it was the fiddle in "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" that was my comfort sound as an infant, I'm told).

I also love Emerson Drive. And Steve Holy. and Phil Vassar. I like hearing boys sing more so than girls.

"My song" as a kid was Alan Jackson's "Chattahoochee" because I was born at West Pace's Ferry Hospital in a room overlooking the Chattahoochee River in Atlanta, Georgia. We're both Georgia people (but I live in NH now).

I love Taylor Swift. :)
Her and her family used to have SeaRays [a boat company]. We have a SeaRay magazine where she's on the cover with her family. xD I know totally random, but my family is always telling me how they remember her before she was famous. We used to have a SeaRay and I think I was actually at the same event as her once a couple years ago, but I didn't know, and now I'm totally mad at myself. I could've met her! Gah!

Ah okay.
I actually don't mind Alan, but I know like two of his songs.
My thing is that I know plenty of songs, but not plenty of songs by one person.

I LOVE JASON ALDEAN! And Keith Anderson.

But above all else, I don't get why Garth Brooks didn't make your list. I've got all of his CDs. I'm such a Garth fan. I'm actually listening to one of his songs right now.

I love Chatanoochee. Emerson Drive, Steve Holy, and Phil are great. I love Phil's recent song Love is a Beautiful Thing.

Ah okay.

That's because you're still learning. :p

Jason's song all kind of annoy me, other than Relentless.

Garth didn't make my list because I forgot about him. Also, I didn't really like that he came out of retirement, then went back in within a year. He said that he wouldn't produce anymore records till his kids were grown. That didn't work out. And More than a Memory and When the Thunder Rolls are my favourite songs by him.

I like Keith, but he flies under my radar. I like I'll Still Miss You. It's a powerful song.
