We stayed there for just one night, thank goodness. It was the last night of our trip on 8/8/08 and we just needed an inexpensive place near Universal to stay at after checking out of the Royal Pacific.

If I had seen the room before 8pm, I would have made us switch. Hubby dropped off our luggage to the room and we took off to Aquatica.

I stay at a lot of Country Inn and Suites in Iowa and Illinios for business, and I had points for a free room. So my room was free, but I spent points for it.

We were in room 113, and there was a huge rectangle of orange on the bathroom ceiling where it was obvious they had water trouble in the room above. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling. The room had a bad funk to it.

Worse was the mattresses and pillows. The mattresses were worse than a mattress you may have had at camp. The pillows felt like they were stuffed with a few kleenex. We went to ask for more pillows at 8pm and were told there were no more.

The whole hotel smelled like it had sustained water damage and was dirty in public areas as well. I looked in the food prep area for the breakfast and it was dirty as well. We ate packaged oatmeal.

The staff was friendly though. The guy working the breakfast area was working hard, and they lady who gave us our room was nice too.

We usually love County Inn and Suites - we stayed there over three years ago when it was fairly new and it was the worse hotel we've EVER stayed in!

 ... I am shocked .. We always stay at County inns and suites when we travel ...Unless we are at USF/IOA and or WDW ..then we stay on site. We just stayed at two Country Inns and Suites in Gerorgia on the way to and from Florida. We have never had any issues at these hotels . I guess it is just who runs the place.

I stayed in that exact hotel about 2 times, but it was about 2-3 years ago and had no problem with the hotel.
