I need some CS suggestions for our upcoming January trip. My last trip (june 2015) I didn't like most of the food we ate. The following are some places I didn't like:
Sleep hollow (waffles/strawberries; strawberries were canned tasting)
Mexican place in Mexico (bad, bad, bad)
Food court at All Star Sports
Pizza Planet-just overall awful
The cs in China

I liked: Earl of Sandwich, some snacks in the countries (japan, france, Germany, Norway) the rice at the Yak and Yeti cs place

so I need CS suggestions for:
DHS
MK

THANK YOU!

These are popular and considered by most to be decent for theme park food, BUT due to individual food preferences your mileage may vary.

MK: Columbia Harbor House, BOG if you can get a lunch ADR
Epcot: Tangerine Café in Morocco, Les Halles bakery in France, Katsura Grill in Japan for some items, maybe Liberty Inn at the American pavillion also for some items.
AK: Yak & Yeti CS, Flame Tree BBQ
HS: No standouts here, but ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, and maybe Starring Rolls near the Brown Derby (mostly for the dessert pastries and cupcakes vs. the limited menu of pre made sandwiches) we have found to be better than Pizza Planet (now Rizzo's Pizza).
Disney Springs: Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express right across from it, not the other WP Express.

For your food court you could walk over the bridge to Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation, might be different menus than Pop but likely the same food quality and just as busy.

All Star Sports isn't Pop - so no walking over to AOA.

I have liked CHH and BOG at MK also. Pecos Bills is very good too, with the topping bar you can have some very decent guac and veggies. At MK in years past we have also taken the monorail to GF or Poly and gotten away from the crowds for an hour and had a nice quick serve meal.

DHS - Sorry you didn't like Pizza Planet! I finally tried it last year for the first time, and DD and I actually enjoyed it! The ABC Commissary is kind of hit or miss. Mostly miss! But it seems they change their menu often? Like every time it's different. Or maybe I let years go between times I eat there!

We were really happy with Peco Bills this last trip in the MK, the nachos and toppings bar were very good. There is also many tables so easy to find a spot to sit.

We also liked CHH. This time we're planning on heading over to the Contemporary for a counter service meal one of our MK days. It will be a nice break and the kids like to ride the monorail

We also really like CHH and Pecos Bills in MK.

I think that the only cs that we have had in HS was ABC Commissary, I do not remember it being awful, but I do not remember it being great either. The last time we needed cs from HS we took a boat to The Boardwalk and had the Boardwalk Bakery.

ABC Commissary for HS (I love cupcakes and they have amazing cupcakes)

MK I have a problem with too... I'm a very picky eater so sometimes ill go with an uncrustable lol. But if you can get a reservation for be our guest for lunch that would be my pick!

At MK, I really enjoyed the caprese pizza at Pinocchio village Haus and my kids liked the pepperoni. We also liked the nachos at Pecos Bill but didn't enjoy the salad as much.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with other posters that DHS is not teeming with delicious CS options. If you have time, take the short boat ride or walk over to the BoardWalk area. The BoardWalk Bakery and Pizza window are good choices. Depending on your budget and time, ESPN Club is budget friendly (while it is a TS) and unless there is a "big game", not as busy as others, making it competitive with CS time-wise.

If you have time to head to the Boardwalk the Boardwalk Bakery is great. If not, I'd go Backlot.

MK I would go Pecos or Columbia Harbor House depending on which type of food sounds better (completely different menus, really like both of them so just depends on what you feel like).

DHS - I thought Fairfax Faire was okay. Used to like Backot Express, but not so happy last couple of times. To let you know, the Boardwalk Bakery is cold sandwiches only, so if you're looking for a hot meal, you can't get it there. Some of the Boardwalk kiosks are not connected to the Disney Dining Plan, so you would need to pay cash.

MK - we like CHH and Pecos Bills. Hate the setup at Cosmic Ray's so rarely have gotten anything there, don't have the patience. Hated Pinocchio Village Haus, some folks have said that the flatbreads are good. The meatball sub was awful!

Epcot - Sunshine Seasons gets lots of great reviews, but it's the same thing as Cosmic Ray's - you have to go to different stations to get different dishes, so it's tough to manage if you have little ones to get food for. We love the Yorkshire Fish n Chips, Tangierine Café, Katsura Grill. The sausages at Germany are good, and are fave place is the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar for great wine and small plates.
