Hi Everyone! :wave2:

My family and I are planning to visit WDW in December and noticed the "latest and greatest" dining plan offered with the "Magic Your Way" plans.

We're pretty familiar with the table service restaurants on property but along with this new dining plan are counter service offerings. We'd really appreciate everyone's recommendations for counter service dining throughout the parks (other than AK - we love Tusker House). Also, if anyone has stayed at the WL and can give reviews of the counter service restaurant there, we'd love to hear those as well.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Magic Kingdom has the most counter service restaurants that I really like. Pecos Bill is my top choice for counter service. They mostly have burgers, hot dogs, HUGE salads and they have an amazing topping bar. I also recommend El Pirata y el perico, if you like americanized mexican. For MGM, if the starring rolls bakery is included in your plan, they make some good salads/sandwiches. In Epcot, the Electric Umbrella has some interesting choices; in my opinion, there really aren't many good counter service restaurants in Epcot. If you want to try something different at AK, the Flame Tree BBQ is really good as well.

I stayed at the WL last summer. The counter service restaurant there is good-they have quite a few offerings and stay open very late. Try the French Toast Sticks for breakfast. I remember them having a large selection of pastries as well (sorry, i'm a sucker for the sweets.) Though not counter-service, you have to try Whispering Canyon Cafe. Lots of fun!
Hope you enjoy your vacation!

MK - My favorite counter service place is Columbia Harbour House. Great food, and the seating area upstairs is a little quieter and more relaxing than downstairs. Also like Cosmic Ray's, especially their rotisserie chicken.

AK - Tusker House and Flame Tree BBQ (love the outdoor seating by the river)

MGM - I really like Backlot Express. I've had a couple good meals at ABC Commissary too, but I've seen pretty mixed reviews on these boards.

Epcot - Cantina de San Angel and Chinese counter service place (the name escapes me at the moment)

Sorry I don't have any info about WL. Good luck! :)

I also really love the Tusker House Restaurant!!!! Esp. for breakfast. Last year, we got a FP for KS and then we ate breakfast. It was wonderful!!
At MK, I love Columbia Harbour House. I like the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. I've also tried the fish and fries. It's good too.
At AK, I would eat at Tusker House or Flame Tree BBQ.
At MGM, I would NOT eat at the Toy Story Pizza place. YUCK. The ABC commissary was good though.
At Epcot, I like the mexican restaurant (but it's not on the list). I also like the food court where "The Land" is at. There is a lot of choices of food to eat there. I really wish more of the World showcase restaurants were included in the MYW dining package.
We're also going to do the MYW dining package in Sept. :earsgirl:

Pepper Market at CSR is very good and different if you can make it over there. It isn't on the list but we ate there with the MYW plan (in fact were the first to use it there)! :goodvibes

My favorite counter service is Cosmic Ray's at MGM. The roasted chicken meal is great--more like a sit down meal--and they have the best burgers with fixings bar. Columbia Harbour House is also good, and I like sitting upstairs away from the crowd.
