I thought I read on here that you can order that food without it being a "combo"

Like can I order one combo and then just a burger or the chicken strips without the soda and fries?

My kids could share next trip and do quite nicely without the junk we dont need/want

(paying out of pocket)

any idea how much you can save by not ordering the fries or drink with the meal or?

you don't have to order the combo meals. Check the budget board for some great tips. One is ordeing a double burger and then a plain bun. I guess they even have a "bun" key on the register so it can't be that unusual of a request.

Fries and drinks are in the $2.50 - $3.00 range. You could go to allears.net and take a look at the menus and prices.

I'm going to move this over to our restaurant board for you.

At the counter service locations I have been to a combo usually includes the sandwich you want to eat with your choice of French Fries or something else. However drinks have always cost more and are not included like the way they are at McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's or Taco Bell combo menus.

The soda is not included with adult combos (a drink comes with kids meals). My husband and I will often just get one combo that includes fries, then get just a sandwich. We share the fries. Or, if neither one of us wants fries, we each just get a sandwich. No big deal. Just tell the cashier what you want.

Thanks!
I dont recall any of the menus showing prices or the fact you could order the burger or chicken without fries.

Maybe I used the DDP too much and just didnt pay attention

Going this trip without, as we have discovered we like a little bit of this here and a little bit there

you can also get grapes or carrots instead of the fries with the combos. Just cause it lists fries doesn't mean that you can't sub out for something else. Plus, the fruits and veggies are in packs that are easily portable for a later snack.

That's because it's not posted on the menus. You just have to tell the cashier want you want and it'll be rung up separately.

I usually order mine seperately all the time.

The kids and DH want the fries but I don't usually get them. Sometimes I'll do burger, grapes or apples and drink. Other times just the burger and a drink.

I've gotten a strange look or two for some reason but have always been able to do it.
