I am going with dd and ds this June. Last year cs credits were not separate. When I went someplace with no children's menu it did not matter as they just took off 3 cs. Is it this way this year still or will I have to use an adult cs to feed him? Or do they take a child credit even though there is no separate menu?

They will not use an adult for this meal.Disney says that they can tell the difference between this but I have never figured out how. We allways eat Mexican CS in Epcot and there was never a problem.

There is every possibility that I'm wrong - and I'm certain if I am someone will quickly correct me LOL, but I think CS meals are still not separated into child and adult.

Disney policy states that children's DDP credits, whether CS or TS, are supposed to be used to order meals from the children's menu where one exists. The child credits cost a GREAT deal less than the adult credits and aren't to be used for ordering "adult" meals.

The DIS does not advocate violating this policy and if it is encouraged we will need to close the thread. I do not see that it is currently being encouraged in this thread.

However, at venues where there is no separate children's menu, children's credits are good for anything off the regular menu.

I agree that we should not advocate violating this policy. I just wanted to know how they would subtract at the fish shop in England. I had never encountered a place that did not have a children's menu before. Ds loves fish and I wanted to make sure it would count as a child's meal since there was not a child's menu. I was thinking WDW had closed this loop hole and the meals were separate.

You are right in that there is no separate print out of your child credits and your adult credits... It is all listed together... However, there is a code on the bottom of your card that indicates how many adults and children are on your plan... This lets the CM know how to take the credits off as you use them...

Therefore, "IN THEORY", you must order what is indicated on your card... So for example, you can't order 4 adult meals if your card says you have 2 adults and 2 children ....

If you are at a counter service with no child menu, they will still only charge the child credit because the credits are really all the same on your account...They are just subtracting from one big number... Am I making sense?

We ate at Catalina Eddie's and there was no separate children's menu but it did not mess up our credits - our receipt stated that we still had x amount of adult cs credits and x amount of child cs credits. We didn't have any problems using the rest of the credits. :)

I think I get it. All CS meals are in one big lump and they just subtract x amount of meals from the card. If no child's menu, it doesn't count against you. Unlike a TS meal, they can't "see" you. How does this play in later--does it at all--when you go to order later. Example, you order at one place fish for 1 adult & 2 kids who all love fish, but the other fish hating adult grabs something else somewhere else. Do they question you on it? In other words, am I going to have to have some kind of proof later?

Also, (I'm being lazy here) does anyone have a list of all the CS (& TS) place that don't have a kids menu?

No, they will not question it if one person orders one meal... You can order any number of meals you want...You can order one or more at any given time.
