We're staying at the Boardwalk Inn in a couple weeks, we will be arriving around dinner time and would like a counter service place to eat at. There isn't a food court there is there? Any suggestions? We aren't going to a park that night.

Nope, no food court. Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Pizza Window, Boardwalk To Go, Hurricane Hannah's at the Beach Club. OR if you aren't on the DDP and just want a cheap non-park meal, try getting delivery from Giordano's.

The fountain at the swan or dolphin (can't remember which) is a good diner type restaurant. It's half way between cs and ts.

There are a couple of boardwalk food stands - hot dogs, etc - right out on the boardwalk.

Depending on when you arrive you might just want to go to dtd for dinner since you arent doing a park and the cs options at bw get old during a full week stay.

Depending on when you arrive you could also go to dtd for dinner since you arent doing a park. Wolfgang puck express and Earl of sandwich are both really good.

I think the Beach Club has counter service sandwich's and stuff too.

A few menu photos, in case they help as you decide!

In case you're interested in casual TS, we also really enjoy Beaches and Cream and ESPN Club. Have a great trip!

As they said, there is no counter service in the BW. If you are on the DP, you can get a counter service meal [sandwiches] at the BW Bakery. Or hope on the boat to Beach Club and eat at teh Market Place. Also, Coronado Springs Resort is not far. Their coutner service ist he Pepper Market and they have LOTS of nice options. Another suggestion is at DTD...teh Wolf Gang Puck Cafe or Earl ofSandwich are great counter service places (and they take the DP if that matters).

If you are not worried about using a a DP credit, I would recommend hot dogs or pizza on the BW. Enjoy!!

PixarMom---thanks for the pics. They help alot...we have an upcoming stay soon. :goodvibes

Boardwalk Bakery has very good, large sandwiches. The turkey, bacon & swiss--with a piece of carrot cake for dessert--is a must do meal for us each trip!

Thanks everyone for your replies and thanks Pixarmom for the pictures! Downtown Disney is an option, but it seems to be such a pain to get there and back it's not really worth it. We'd also like to swim that night and get to bed at a decent hour as we are only at the parks for 2 days so we will be going non-stop commando :). I'm leaning towards the Boardwalk To Go, then we can explore Boardwalk for a while then swim in the creepy clown pool LOL. Hopefully the weather stays warm enough to swim and so I only have to pack shorts!

Thanks PixarMom for the photos. I used them to update the 2011 Confirmed Snacks thread. It's so hard to find pictures/info on the resorts. :goodvibes

Do you happen to have any more recent resort menu signs? TIA

I know that you already have lots of good suggestions, but I'll throw one more hat into the ring. The Cabana Bar at the Dolphin is a great place to walk up for a quick and tasty meal. They've got lots of good casual options like sandwiches, salads and flatbreads. You can see their menu here.

If you choose the Boardwalk Bakery for a CS DP meal does that mean for the dessert one can get something like the cheesecake brownie for the dessert portion of the CS meal?
