Never been to DL before and DH and I will be there for 2 weeks, staying off site. I am wondering what I should expect to budget for meals. We might be looking at 2 counter service meals a day for 14 days. Anyone have any idea?

This trip s a gift from our DD's and DS for our 25th anniversary so all other expenses are paid. We have PS for Goofy's Kitchen, the Blue Bayou and we are going for Fantasmic (DD's and DS have told us they are paying for this)

It really depends on which counter service you're talking about. They range in price. AllEars has DL menus now online, so you can check those out. If it's straight counter service, like the Stage Door Cafe or the Golden Horseshoe (pretty much the same menu, I get the same thing either place), then 4 chicken strips with fries and a soda is just under $10. The buffeteria style, like the Plaza Inn (not a true buffet but not really counter service either) is usually more for a meal and a drink. I think the fried chicken meal and a soda is in the $13-14 range. But this is a full meal--1/2 a chicken, veggies, mashed potatoes, and a bisquit.

Yes - for the cheaper places about $10-$12 should do it for meals like burgers and fries or chicken strips. $15-$20 for places like the Plaza Inn, and then figure on $30-$40 per head of eating at Blue Bayou.

If you want to save a bit the best value meal is the turkey leg from the carts $6 and these things are huge and very tasty.
