What would you recommend for counter service meals? The table service is pretty well covered but I have not seen a lot of input on what would be a good fast foodish place to eat. Esp at epcot if there are any nice food stands to get fish and chips and what not.

The fish and chips CS place in Epcot is great. The CS place in China is great as well. We love the orange chicken dish there. My DD's and I like to try to eat our way around the world. We always start in Mexico, get one CS dish to share there and do the same in each section of the World Showcase. That way, you can sample a little bit from each country. We call it our "Graze our way around the world plan".

I second the Fish & Chips place. Also Peco's Bill's is good in the MK. We seem to hit there about every trip.

I've heard good things about and wanted to try, but didn't last trip Tusker House in AK.

Epcot's the easiest place to find really good counterservice. I'm partial to Morocco's Tangeriene Cafe and my husband likes the open faced sandwiches at the bakery in Norway.

Animal Kingdom has two great choices with Tusker House and Flame Tree Barbeque.

Columbia Harbor House is a great one in Magic Kingdom. I love the chili and the hummus sandwich.

MGM is a tough one. I had a really good meal at Backlot Express many years back, but it has changed significantly. Next time I'm going to try the little Herbie's cart that apparently has filled chicken, pork and curry buns.

Mexico counter service has a good selection too. I like the nachos with beef and cheese and salsa and sour cream....my favorite. The counter service at the Land is not bad either.......you can either have sandwiches or hot foods ...I liked their fruit platter when we went last year......
If you have a chance to go to Down Town Disney.......try Earl of Sandwich...DELICIOUS

Yorkshire Fish n' Chips in England at Epcot is fantastic. That was our first stop on our trip last year and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of food. In fact, hubby and I could have shared. We weren't on the dining plan last year, but will be this year and we may end up sharing that as one of our TS meals this year.

I'm also looking forward to trying Earl of Sandwich and/or Wolfgang Puck express at DTD as though both get really good reviews.

Columbia Harbor House, definitely, in MK.

I enjoyed Backlot Express in MGM in November, but I just had a salad.

AK-- Flame Tree; Epcot...not sure. We always eat table service to get inside for a bit.

Favorites:

Epcot: Mexico and Morroco
MK: Pinocchio's Village Haus
MGM: Pizza Planet
AK: Flame Tree BBQ

We like Columbia Harbour House, Flame Tree, Tusker House, Yakitori House, and Cantina....(Mexico). :thumbsup2

DTD- Wolfgang Puck Express (best at WDW)
MK- Pecos Bill
MGM- Pizza Planet
Epcot- Too many to count but we love the Fish and Chips place. (There's a Mcdonalds before you get to Canada that the kids eat at)
Animal Kingdom- Gotta go with Flame Tree

My CS favs:

MK: Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Ray's
AK: Tusker House or Flametree Grill
MGM: Pizza Planet or ABC Commissary
EPCOT: Mexico Pavilion

MK- Columbia Harbour House (good food & the seating upstairs is nice.)
Cosmic Rays (noisy, but we all liked our choices here. VARIETY)

Epcot- Canada- Fish & chips are very good. (not really enough for sharing)
Morocco Tangerine Cafe look great & I plan to eat here on our
next trip
Sunshine seasons in the Land has a good variety.

MGM- DD loved Pizza Planet (I'm not a real pizza fan,so I didn't try it. This
is another loud setting. The kids will love the games)

AK- Based solely on pictures posted on this site, we will be trying Flame Tree BBQ on our next trip. We skipped AK on our last trip.

Downtown Disney- Earl of Sandwich. I can't say enough good about this place. The 6 adults in our group liked it so much that we went twice. There was a McDonalds close by so the kids were eating Happy Meals. DH says the Cannonball (meatball sub) is the best he has ever had.

AK: Pizzafari (Tusker House is good too, but I don't like the turkey wrap).
DTD: Earl of Sanwich (we ate here three times last trip)
Epcot: Yorkshire Fish and Chips (ate here twice last trip)
MK: Pecos Bills (Cosmic Rays has a good chicken & ribs platter that is big enough to split)
MGM: I have only eaten at Pizza Planet; it was pretty good.

MK: We always eat at Cosmic Rays, sometimes twice in one day

AK: Flametree or Tuskerhouse

Epcot: we are actually partial to the pretzel and hotdog stands that you can find located throughout Futureworld. If you are looking for something more substantial try the Electric Umbrella in Futureworld. They have some interesting stuff like the tossed island chicken salad. In World Showcase try the Liberty Inn.

MGM: for the family who can't decide try these counter service/kiosk options in basically one place: Catalina Eddie's (pizza, salads) Rosie's All American Cafe (burgers, sandwhiches, soup) Anaheim Produce Company (fresh fruit) and Hollywood Scoops (hand dipped ice cream) Warning: seating is entirely outside so this may not be the best option for the heat of the day.

I vote for Columbia Harbour House too!! :cool1: It's soooo much better than the typical fast food type of stuff you get in the park. I love the tuna sammy!!! Yum, Yum.:cool1:

Oh yes, Columbia House was very good too. That tuna sandwich was fantastic and I almost never order tuna when I'm out. But we were at MK on the last full day of our trip and I was just starting to come down with a cold, so not much appealed to me. The tuna was the perfect choice!
