What are some of your tricks to make your credits last longer? Favorite meals to share?

We have found DH and I can split the rib/chicken combo meal at Cosmic Rays.
Also can split the meal at Starring Rolls in DHS. Their sandwiches and cupcakes are HUGE and can easily be split with 2 good eaters.

found a CS meal that DD (adult) and I could not split. We've been taking trips together yearly since 2006 and always split our CS meals - 1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch. But we have similar tastes (and, like a good Mom, I defer to hers!) and go during hot, humid Sept so we eat pretty light. My DB came last year and he was not a sharer!! But, again because it was hot, we still didn't use all our CS's - just not that hungry.

What Nadjalu said, and at Wolf Gang Puck Express the pizzas are huge!! We were shocked with how large they were. (About the size of a small pizza here at home)

DH and I have always shared our CS meals. It works great with us. At breakfast, we usually just eat at the food court. We sometimes use a snack credit for a bowl of fruit at breakfast, but not always. Pecos Bills in MK and Flame Tree in AK are easy to share as well. Most places are. Good luck!

my dd & I would separate a double cheeseburger at peco bills and buy an extra roll -- their toppings bar made them huge!!! Plenty of fries to share.

The ribs at Flame Tree BBQ
The sandwiches at Sunshine Seasons
The chicken/lamb schwarma platter @ Tangerine Cafe in Morocco
The pizzas and roast chicken dinner at WPE.
The fried shrimp plate at Columbia Harbour House is big enough to share but I love it so much that I won't. ;)

For us, breakfast was always really easy to share...we just usually got some kind of combo plate (this was at the food court at the hotel). If we were really hungry, we could supplement with a snack credit fruit/drink/pastry.

Thats a great tip.....how much do they charge for the extrea bun??
I think their nachos are sharable also??

Here's how we make ours stretch (2 adults and 2 kids on plan):

First of all, we bring 1- 2 boxes of cereal in our luggage. We have a bowl of cereal (with milk - snack credit OR we 'save' unused milks from dinners at the resort (we buy and share 2 refillable mugs for our trip and use these for our drinks and just get a couple milks for breakfasts and throw them in the frig (or cooler - if we're at a value)). Added to that a cinnamon roll from Main St bakery and/or a couple bagels - again using snack credits.

We get the CS large pizza 'deal' at the food court on arrival and/or departure day. We have a pool evening and just eat by the pool - we get a large pizza and 2 drinks and 2 desserts for 2 CS. This feeds all 4 of us (sometimes use 2 extra snack credits to get 2 more desserts). This saves 2 credits. :)

We have a sleep-in day and then split a couple of CS breakfasts later than usual (around 9 - 10), then head to a park and have ICE CREAM FOR LUNCH! The kids love it and it only uses snack credits. I schedule an early dinner for this night - about 5:00 since I know we're having a small lunch.

This year I'm planning specifically on two days of 'snacks for lunch'. On the day we're going to Chef Mickey's for breakfst - no way will we need a big lunch only a few hours later...so I'm planning on some muffins or similar from Main St Bakery for our lunch - maybe followed by a dessert snack of some sort. Then we'll do CS for dinner whenever we get hungry after that.

I have found, overall, that FOOD COURTS at the resorts have very large portions. We are often able to split these meals.

which cs / resort have this pizza deal? does the contemporary cafe have it?

My understanding is that any food court with a pizza option offers this....however, I personally have only used it at POP. Planning to use it at POR in August.

Unfortunately most (if not all) places now do not have a double burger. They have gone to one ginormous sized patty. I think they got tired of providing the extra bun. Last I had heard they had started charging a ridiculous price for the extra bun too.

Always order less food than you think you will need. Most counter service meals are large enough to share. My one solo trip I felt bad that I was throwing so much food out! You can always go back and order a bit extra if needed, but don't think everyone will need their own meal, because most likely they won't.

ITA - DD never finishes her meal. We could easily split a meal. We had 5 eating off a 4 person QS plan, we didn't really split meals and we still had leftover credits. DW and I did eat one TS meal. This year we will have 4 for 4 and I plan on getting more breakfast meals and splitting more lunches and dinners with DD. Plus we have all those snack credits to enjoy!!!
