Hi dis family!
I have read plenty about the counter service food at different locations...(reviews ect) but I would like your input on your favorite counter service food location(s) and why. We will be eating at a couple of restaurants but around half of our eating will most likely be at counter service locations.

Thanks!!:wave2:

FlameTree Barbeque in AK - Try the BBQ chicken Salad. YUM!!
There is very lovely seating behind the stand. It's outdoors but they have covered shelters with fans in it to sit under down by the water and you can look across a river to the Everest construction site. If you time it right you can hear the Tarzan show music too. :)

We like Columbia Harbor House at the MK and (someone help me here) the fish place at Epcot after you come in from the resort entrance. We enjoy Planet Pizza at MGM, although this is the same pizza served at all counter services. Cosmic Rays in the MG is nice because you can eat inside. At Ecpot we usually do the Sunshine Food Fair since there are many different counters to choose from.

Counter service in the parks? World Showcase has several places that are quite nice. Germany's Sommerfest offers bratwurst and potoato salad or kraut and a nice roll, there is a hot dog version, a chicken scnitzel and a couple other choices.

Japan's Yaki Tori house is good, especially the udon noodle soup.

France's bakery has ham and cheese croissants, among other nice choices.

Norway offers open faced sandwiches in their bakery and some wonderful sweet selections.

The Cantina in Mexico has a really nice selection for a counter service place.

I don't care for the food in China, but there is a counter service here too.

Morocco has a great counter service restaurant. Several choices and some wonderful desserts!

Canada does not have a counter service restaurant, only a kiosk with beaver tails (fried dough) and popcorn.

UK has the Rose and Crown pub food, and the Fish and Chips Kiosk.

US has only counter food. Standard hot dogs, hamburgers (cheese) tossed salad, grilled chicken salad, etc.

Future World has the Sunshine Food Fair in the Land, the Electric Umbrella, Fountainview Cafe and a place in the Body Wars pavilion.

Many good choices at EPCOT.

Columbia House in the MK is nice. Many folks like the hot dogs at Casey's. There is Pinnochio's Village Haus, ok as is Pecos Bill's.

MGM has a few, but I don't generally eat in this park.

AK, I like Tusker's. They have a pretty decent selection and it offers something other than the ever present hot dogs and burgers.

Very cool!
Thank you!

My absolute favorite is the hot sandwich at Pizzafari in AK. Also like Peco's Bill's (but then, Frontierland is my favorite part of MK). One thing I like about Fish and Chips place in UK (besides the fact that it is very good) is that it leaves me room to hop over to France afterwards for dessert at the pastry shop.

I'm with Simba's Mom the hot sandwich at Pizzafari is great and this works out good because my son thinks he has to have pizza once a day. We love Pecos Bill with its topping bar and the taco place across from POC has really good Taco Salads. They are open seasonally but have always been open in May when we go. Pizza Planet at MGM is a must do. The Land in Epcot has lots of different choices. Enjoy walking around WS and getting Fish and Chips and the Bratwurst!

Us Simba's have to stick together. I love Peco's Bills. We eat there at least once per trip. I also love the fish and chips over at England in the WS. At MGM, we usually eat at the backlot express. I love a good hamburger.

Good eating.::yes::

Pecos Bill's in MK definitely gets my vote... and we enjoyed Flame Tree BBQ in AK, too.

Another vote for Pecos Bill's! The fries portion are enough to share btw and they have a great fixin's bar to make your burger the way you'd like (one of the best burgers in the parks in our opinion). In Epcot we like the Cantina and Yakitori House. AK - we've done Restaurantaurus and it didn't thrill although they do serve McNuggets which makes the kids happy. The burgers are not McD's, are HUGE and there is a fixings bar but they don't compare to Pecos Bill's at the MK. They also have a HUGE hot dog so if your child wants a hot dog be prepared to share! Pizza is decent at Pizzafari but lines can be long at peak lunch time. At MGM we have yet to find a good counter service place. We ate at Rosie's All American Cafe (or whatever they call it these days) and the burger I had was one of the worst I've ever had. Cold and had a rank taste to it but the line was so long it was pointless to try to return it for another and at that point my stomach didn't want to try another one there. After trying a couple of places there for counter service we now either plan our schedule to where we don't need to eat lunch there or we've actually left and hopped some sort of transportation to go somewhere else and return after having a break.

Magic Kingdom-

Columbia Harbor House- This place has great chicken strips and fries. I know that may not sound that fantasy, but it is real chicken (not like the old McDonalds nuggets). Also the Columbia Harbor House has a nice upstairs that gets you away from all the noise and chaos.

Epcot-

The Land Food Court- Great selections, but usually very busy for lunch (dinner is usually not as busy).

MGM-

Not the best selections at MGM for any type of food, but on my last Xmas trip the Counter-Service restuarant by the tower of terror (I forgot the name) was satisfying.

AK-

Restaurantosaurus- I love McDonald's Mcnuggets, and guess what you can get here.

DTD-

Wolfgang Puck Express- Very good "fast" food. The chicken is great and can feed about two people (we are light eaters for lunch).

pizza at wolfgang express is excellent
casey hot dogs were good and good fixing bar and nice little place to sit outside
french bakery a must do, love the atmosphere of the "french cafe"type setting but can't get past the "desserts" to try a "meal" there!
pizzafari pizza was good, dessert pizza good ( stacked sandwich looked great and is a must try for next trip), giant indoor seating area, just not as good as wpe
