My husband and I are getting a babysitter from Kids Nite Out for two of our nights in March.

For the first night we are headed to Flying Fish and then hanging out on the boardwalk for a bit...probably Jelly Rolls.

The second night we are going to go to Epcot to ride Soarin and walk around World Showcase. It is a Extra Magic Hour Evening the night we are going. We love to eat, but I wanted to maximize our park time so we aren't going to do a table service meal. Instead, I thought we could sample some counter service meals/appetizer type things in World Showcase.

Does anyone have a "can't miss" counter service food in World Showcase? Desserts are welcome too.

Thanks

DH and I usually just grab snacks throughout instead of having a large meal. Last time we had drinks outside of Rose and Crown :cloud9: and split fish and chips then we got beer in germany and DH had some german sausage and I had a pretzel. Then a stroll to the Tequila bar for margaritas and guacamole. We never have a set plan just usually grab a seat and a drink and grab nearby food. By far our favorite Disney World activity:lovestruc

We like the food at Sunshine Seasons, in the building that Soarin is located at. ( The Land)

I usually get a ham and cheese croissant from the bakery in France. Yummy but also filling.

The Tangierine Cafe in Morocco is our very favorite CS.

I use to like the Mexican Cantina but Ihavent tried the new one, will Sept. Wasnt impressed with Tangerine Cafe, Yakatori house wasnt too bad, SS is ok if you dont get the asian food, thinking of getting the grilled salmon or beet salad, kids got the sandwhiches and loved them

I really enjoy Sunshine Seasons - they have great desserts too. :) Also, I really enjoy the bakery in Norway, and for a snack Karamelle Kuche in Germany is great. :)

Tangierine Cafe for us too. I think their platters are better than several of the TS restaurants in WS.

Cheese plate and a baguette from the pastry shop in France. Yummy!

We like to have what we call "International Tapas" as we tour the WS. Some of our favorites include:
Guacamole and chips at La Cantina in Mexico
Brats and Pretzels in Germany
Hummus and pita chips in Morocco
Anything from the Patisserie in France (though I can never resist the creme brulee)
Fish and Chips in England

We don't do all this on one tour around the WS, but we do share at least 3 things as we stroll.

And save room for a margarita at La Cava...mmmm......

Great post - I hope to eat our way around the world - a little bit at a time! Great Information.

A couple WS places conspicuously missing from previous recommendations: Lotus Blossom and Liberty Inn.

With good reason, I think.

Some of my favorites, though I can eat at every country in Epcot EASILY...

Food
Mexico - churros
Germany - pretzels
America - Funnel Cake

Drinks
Morocco - Habibbi Daiquiri
France - Grand Marnier Slush
Germany - Franziskaner (though I think they may change the beer selection seasonally as it wasn't there when I went in December)
Mexico - Blood Orange Margarita

Hope you enjoy!

DF and I really enjoy the egg rolls and orange chicken at Lotus Blossom Cafe in China, the fish and chips in the UK (go figure!) and Yakitori House :goodvibes
