What are the best counter service desserts? I've heard about so many of the TS desserts, but not much about the CS desserts. Thank you!! Happy Planning!!

We liked the cannoli from Pinocchio's at MK, DD liked some smore thing from the restaurant behind American Adventure in Epcot. DS liked the sugarfree strawberry parfait at Backlot express in MGM. Of couse the pastries in France are great as well and you can use a CS there "one savory and one sweet choice plus a beverage"

Peco Bills' has a great fudge/peanut butter brownie type dessert. I love it! The best was the carrot cake at POP, I wish I could order one on-line now. :thumbsup2

We like the chocolate cake at Cosmic Rays (MK) and the chocolate cake at Tusker House (AK).

I assume with the dining plan that includes dessert w/ counter service you have to get the dessert where you get your meal?
Example: If you have lunch at Cosmic Rays you can't use your dessert at Peco's?

Correct.

I didn't get a chance to sample any of the "good" CS desserts because we chose our CS meals based on food quantity/ability to share meals. Of the desserts I tried, the Key Lime Pie from Flame Tree BBQ was the best. I'm sure all of the WS pastries are a lot better, but the meals at most of those places just weren't large enough to split.

You can get some really good desserts at the resort food courts sometimes, like huge slices of cheesecake, chocolate croissants, etc.

Some places have terrible dessert choices. Toy Story Pizza Planet limits you to either a cookie or a Mickey Crispy bar. The turkey leg place only gives you a bag of chips.

Kringla, berry tart, or rice cream from Norway, nectarine tart or any other pastry from France, german chocolate cookie from Germany, dole whip, funnel cake from Sleepy Hollow, warm chocolate chip cookies from the All Star Movies food court, hot fudge sundae from Ghiradelli's. With the exception of the cookies, I don't believe any of them are available on the dining plan.
