How are the credits counted? We have two adults and three children. Could we order three adult meals for one lunch, and share them? Then, for another meal, my husband and I could share an adult meal, and the children could eat their meals.

You can share meals. But if you have only 2 adults on the DDP, you can only order 2 adult meals at a time.

We'll have 12 adult CS credits and 18 children's CS credits. I assumed we could order three at a meal, and then have 9 credits left. Does anyone know why we can't?

because the rules prohibit buying meals for people who are not on the plan. The way they "enforce" this rule is by limiting the number of meals that can be purchased at one time to match the number of people on the plan. Hence, if there's 2 adults on your plan, at any one time you can only order 2 adult meals. Period. That's just the way it's done...they will tell you "sorry, you can't use 3 adult credits at a time."

Seriously, that's what will happen when you go to pay. They will expect you to pay cash for 1 of the adult meals if your keycard only shows 2 adults in your party.

I am just curious, not that I am planning to do that. But can I buy 2 CS meals, check out. Buy another CS meal, check out again?

Again, just curious...

I can't help you on that one, don't know if it'd work for sure...but I would guess the whole system is being upgraded with the intro of the new quick service plan in January so who knows how it will work. Hopefully some Disers going in Jan 2009 will let us know quickly.

The only thing I know for absolute sure is that they will not let you buy 3 adult meals at once on a 2-adult card...we tried it in May. Had DH & myself in one room, and DD and her friend in another room...and even though it was all being paid for by DH, the whole reservation was tied to our name & room, and both rooms were guaranteed by DH's credit card they treated all our credits as two separate rooms with 2 adults in each room. So if DH & I went up to get all 4 adult meals, we had to pay for 2 meals with our room card and the other 2 meals had to be on DD's room card. Was a pain in the a$$, frankly. But that's how I know they will say "sorry, you can't put 4 adult meals on this card, there's only 2 adults allowed.":upsidedow

Adult credits are to be used for adult meals and children's credits are to be used for children's meals only.

Disney's policy is pretty black and white regarding this. Currently the credits are pooled on the card and using the credits as intended is policed by limiting the number of adult/child credits in one purchase.

There is a fairly widespread belief that this will be a moot point beginning in January when the Quick Service plan is introduced, and that they will separate CS credits as they separate TS credits at that time.

Just a friendly reminder - posting on system workarounds isn't allowed on the boards. :)
