Counter Service Breakfast

If we used the counter service for breakfast does anyone know what sort of food you get and if it is any good?

Depends where you are staying/eating as to what is available, but at resorts it's usually along the lines of waffles with your choice of toppings, pancakes with your choice of topping, breakfast platters.

Personally, I don't do cooked breakfasts; I'm a cereal and fruit kind of person in the mornings. So I avoided wasting a counter service for breakfast, but my mum loves doing CS for breakfast, *** she is the opposite and loves cooked first thing.

I've stayed in value resorts before, and always had breakfast before heading out to the parks.

I'm a fruit / muffin / coffee sort of a person in the mornings, and my ex-DH was a cooked breakfast person. We were both well catered for at the resort.

Never eaten breakfast anywhere else!

We had breakfast at pop a lot, the full breakfast platter was great value

We don't do breakfast in a big way either-not fond of American 'cooked' breakfast. However if you're on the dining plan you can very often split a breakfast-we did a couple of times and had pancakes (4 large) plenty for two-you also get two juices with breakfast CS (as no 'dessert').

We had a lot of breakfasts at POP - they would keep us going until dinner time as they were so filling! I had a lot omlettes (I thought these were pretty tasty), or fruit salads which were handy as they were in containers that you could take with you and munch while on the bus etc

When we first went, we decided to try pancakes and waffles for breakfast. Ugh, not for me!! Far too sweet. Normally I just have cereal for breakfast, but I find the cooked breakfast platter really sets me up for the day.

When we stayed at Pop, we occassionally used the counter service for breakfast - cereals and toast for kids, breakfast platter for adults. We'd get two drinks each and save one for the parks. There is so much choice, the food hall there is a bit like a shopping centre food court where all tastes are catered for. Having said that, we are not really breakfast people on holiday and tend to have cookies and tea in our room, using our counter service for lunch and table service in the evenings and the snacks were used for drinks or popcorn!

We had cooked breakfasts -waffles, pancakes, omelettes and the like- most days in 2007 (you can get most things though like cereal, fruit, pastries etc), the bf is big on breakfast (he had it for dinner a couple of times in California, those of you who watch Scrubs will know what I mean when I say brinner!! ) and was most put out when I suggested that it might work better to do CS lunches this year (trying to do TGM's plans for the parks so may not leave much time for breakfast getting there to the turnstiles for 20+ minutes before opening)

Most places have a great range of choices. I often had strawberries in a strawberry sauce on top of pancakes and "yes" sides of bacon. I love the fruit yoghurts and the cinnamon pastries.

i loved our brekkies at the Contempo Cafe.
my son and i shared the bounty platter a lot, scrambled eggs,bacon, biscuit(scone) potato wedges, french toast.
1 thing i tried and we all loved was the scrambled egg sandwich- it was actually a pitta style bread, crammed with cheese, ham and omlette style eggs then toasted. delish
they also did waffles topped with banana and a caramel sauce.

plus they did cereals, bagels etc.

im sure youll find something you can both enjoy.

No you can use your CS wherever you like- We go to All-stars for their pancakes!!!

As a regular visiter to DLRP I find the whole not getting breakfast thing really odd...guess I've just gotten used to my free continental breakfast's at the Disney Hotels.

It is actually one of the things putting me off booking WDW (odd I know )

My favourite is at Main street cafe in MK, I get coffee, egg,ham & cheese crostant & cherry danish for 1 cs.
