Counter service at POFQ

Which is better--the counter service at POFQ (Sassagoula Floatworks) or the counter service at POR (Riverside Mill)? We'll be staying at POFQ for the first time this summer. Due to our flight time, we know on our first night we're eating at the hotel. Since it's a short walk to POR, we would go there vs. POFQ if the other food court is better.

POR's is about twice the size and has a make-your-own-pasta bar (well, you don't make your own, you tell the CM what you want in it)--it's make-your-own-omelet in the morning. The food court was the only thing I didn't like about POFQ, so having POR so close was great.

It's not surprising that POFQ, being the smallest resort on property, would have the smallest food court. To us it was worth it, but being able to walk to POR a few times was really helpful.

I have to be honest while I loved POFQ I really did not care for the food court there. They had a very limited selection of food and I got quite bored with the selections very quickly. I don't do fried foods and try to eat healthy.

POR has much better selection..... but POFQ has biengets and muffelettas

I like being able to walk between the two resorts.

I guess I am in the minority here because we really enjoyed eating at POFQ's food court. They have Taco Salads that are REALLY good. We ate there on our arrival day in December and ended up going back during the week because we like it so much. We are staying at POFQ in March and are very excited to be eating at the food court again....plus I can't wait to try the beignets

i totally agree with the other posters that the POFQ has a limited menu. We did enjoy the food though. We also made the trip to POR and made use of the pasta station and enjoyed it.

You are not far from DTD and the boat ride is only 15mins tops and there are plenty of cs places there including the excellent Wolf gang puck express. Maybe thats an option?

Both are just fine, I did like POR's a little better, but POFQ's is just fine. I wouldn't go over to POR just for the food court, but that's just me.

We enjoy POFQ for breakfast or lunch but for dinner we usually walk over to POR for the pasta and better selection!
