Counter Service at Hollywood Studios?

Anything good? We were thinking Pizza Planet or Studio Catering Co., but would really like to ask the experts. What else is good? Oh, and dinner is at 50's PT, and I'm only using CS for lunch. thanks..

We like the Backlot Express. CS is, in many people's opinion, an iffy proposition at the studios. But you won't starve.

We usually eat at Backlot Express. It has the smallest crowd. My DD(6) and DS(8) are into pizza now, so we tried Pizza Planet. It actually (surprise?) was pretty good. The pizza was comparable in size to a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza. Everyone in our party liked the taste. We will be back to Pizza Planet again.

Backlot Express is pretty decent. Toy Story Pizza Planet is OK. I liked that you got a salad with your pizza, but the arcade is a complicating issue when you have 2 little boys who want to play everything!

We like Studio Catering (it is near the Backlot Tours) and has outside covered seating. I have been pleased with the adult hot dog with apple slices and my DD likes the pulled pork. We have also tried the chhicken and it is good too.

Thanks for the help. I have checked menus. The only problem I can see with Backlot Express would be that my oldest dd doesn't like sloppy joes or chk. nuggest. Does anyone know if they substitute? Like a hamburger w/out cheese, instead?

if you're asking about substituting on kids meals, no they won't sub.

I just don't really like pizza planet. The pizza is nothing special, and there is never enough seats. And I had the CMs screw up my order (they rang in 7 sodas instead of two (I didn't notice since I was just putting it on the KTTW card), had to go back, people got mad at ME because I "cut" to get them to correct the order while it was very crowded, then go back and now there are NO sodas at all!

I know a lot of people don't really care for the ABC Commisary, but we don't mind it.

We ate at PT50s in 07. Its a TS. It was fun but busy. The food was good and your waitress messes with you and the kids. She is your mother while you are there. Dont put your elbows on the table our you may get sentenances like my daughter did.

for a QS we tried Pizza planet, it was ok, and the kids really liked it, but we all HATE the ABC Commissary. Out of the 4 of us none of us liked anything we ordered, not even dessert.

It's one of the only places we've totally ruled out ever going to again.
