We have counter service dinner planned for our evening in Disney Studios. What is your fav place for CS? We are going to Hollywood and Vine for lunch (I know it has a bad rep, but my son love Little Einsteins).

This yr we tried Fairfax Fair for the Rib & Brisket Combo and enjoyed it quite well.

Try Min and Bill's if you like sausages/hot dogs. They were decent and we were able to get shakes as drinks (or maybe desserts?) on the dining plan.

Pizza Planet....the kids love the theming and it's easy enough because most everyone loves pizza LOL It's very very filling too, you get pizza and a salad....yummy.

We've also eaten at Backlot Express and ABC Commissary....both were good but we stick with Pizza Planet year after year.

Oh and we like Hollywood and Vine...not necessarily for the characters but we like their breakfast buffet. Everyone has different taste....you might surprise yourself and actually like the food at H&V :)

We didn't care much for Backlot Express - seemed as though the food had been sitting around for ages....but we have been missing the cupcakes at Starring Rolls - go there for dessert!

I will say I have heard that Backlot Express is good, but I have had ABC Commisary. DO NOT go there! lol. Bad food!

Try the Picabu cafeteria at the Dolphin hotel. Catch the boat outside the park entrance, the Swan/Dolphin are the first stop, then catch the boat back when you're ready to return. Food is good, cooked to order, and priced fairly (for a resort hotel). Plus, they offer DVC discounts (I think 20% off food items).

Pizza Planet is OK for the theming, but I've never liked their pizza.

Does Fairfax Fare only offer outdoor seating?

I like this idea, because I think counter service is really lacking at the Studios. I would say "run away!" from the ABC Commissary at all costs. ;)

If I had to stay at the park, I think I'd probably get a sandwich and a cupcake from Starring Rolls.
