Countdown Calendar?

Anyone have ideas for a trip countdown calendar? I bought poster board and swiped some mickey heads from Home Depot.

How do you all decorate this? Ideas? Pictures?

I had printed out a small sheet for each day, starting at 50. each said "Countdown Days to Vacation 50...and so on. I stapled them all together and hung it on the fridge. Each morning the kids and I would rip off the top page of the countdown. We are on day 13...they love it and it just keeps the excitement going!

i just made one last week. i dont have a pic of it, but if you pm me, i'll send it to you.

basically, the back was an 8x11" card stock paper....i titled it "Days until Disney" in the Disney font and used a background picture of a cloud (i believe) that in each corner had mickey, minnie, goofy and donald (or so my memory recalls).

then for each day, I used different disney pictures (added on each one - the number of the day), cut them out, laminated them, punched a hole into the top center of each one, and hooked on to the background.....

its really cute....i'll email you the parts if you want to make your own - and by seeing it, my cryptic description should make sense

I got some Mickey heads from Home Depot too and attached them to the poster board facing in. Every morning DD could go turn another one over and it would have the days remaining on it.

LOL - No it is not a dumb question at all! It's a group of us here on the DIS cruising together next year. A group went together two years ago, that's why this is #2. B.O.B. stands for Bash on the Boat. Most of us going are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc.

That is so cute!

I just did one for DS. I didn't have time to get too creative (been making a HUGE welcome home sign for DB coming home from Iraq ) but I attached the Mickey Heads with puffy tape and wrote '30 days until we see...', '29 days until we ride...', and so on. When he pulls off a head everyday, I read him what I wrote. He loves it!
