I saw on Jon and Kate plus 8 they did the disney special and they did a count down calendar

Does anyone have any cute ideas/suggestions/samples on how i can do one? My kids would loveeeeeeeee it!!!

As soon as the New Year hits i want to do this, i know i am kinda late to get started on making one being the new year will be here in a couple of weeks but I figured its worth a shot to ask.... Thanks !!!!!!!!!princess:

The only thing i can think of so late in the day is maybe make a count down chart with days left and use disney sticker to put on the days as they pass by. :goodvibes
Not the brightest of ideas but i' keep think on this for you or maybe someone will come up with a better one for you. Good Luck:goodvibes

When we went this summer, my DD(3 at the time) & I made a countdown for my niece(10) who was also going with us. I used the medium mickey punch and multi colors of cardstock - didn't have many big pieces left - to make as many as I needed until we left. I numbered the heads and DD glued them onto a large piece of Disney paper. Labeled the top (with stickers) "Countdown to WDW" and DD put different character stickers around the page. Then each day she was able to cross off one until it was time to go.
It helped since this was her first big trip w/o mom & dad. And it helped them to know how many days they had to make sure her clothes were washed and packed too!!

We did a paper chain once. It might take you a while to put together since you aren't leaving til Dec but the kids loved it and they each took turns tearing a chain off.
Maybe you could do several smaller chains like one for x number if days until you can do your dining reservations, and then 30 days out. Etc....

Maybe add a special colored chain once a week and on that day you could watch a different Disney movie. Or make a special purchase for the trip, like sun block, sunglasses, books for the drive or plane ride.

Anyway, hope this helps!

I did the paper chain. My kids love it! I like the Mickey cut out idea. Do you get the cut at a craft store. I was thinking I could use my Advent calendar and put a Mickey cut out in each day. That would be fun.
