couldn't stand to wait, made ressies- now what about codes?

I called yesterday and made our reservations (yippie) because 1. I couldn't wait , 2. it forces me to really start saving, and 3. now I can become absolutely obsessed with planning! We are planning on going in June 2003 and staying at the Poly. If I have already made these reservations, can I still get the CRO people to apply any discount rates ( AP. other codes I find) to the existing reservations? Or will I need to cancel the existing ressie and remake another if I find a great rate? When is the best time to do this? I know I am VERY early here, but I wouldn't want to screw up and not get a room in trying for a better deal! Thank you for your help!

I'm like you, I just love making that reservation way ahead of time and then have a ball planning! Yes you will still be able to take advantage of any of those discount rates that come your way, but it will depend on how you booked & which discount rate it is (AP, DC, AAA etc.) as to whether they will be able to transfer the money paid or whether you will have to cancel & make a new ressie (no big deal though). For our trip this past Feb. I originally made the ressie with no discount, then re-made it with the DC discount when it came out, then re-made it when the AMEX discount came out.
