I read the book because even though I am not into vampire novels, I thought so many people couldn't be wrong.
I finished it but I thought it was lame. Bella whined and bored me. Edward was the pansiest vampire EVER. AND! Why would Bella's father, the police chief, let her leave in the middle of the night to drive allll the way back to AZ, upset, and especially with a killer loose. Stupid.
I can see how a teenager and younger might like them, my 14 or 15 year old self would have loved them, I think.. but they're not my cup of tea now as an adult.
Now, JR Ward's vampire books, again, not interested in reading them but the hype was so high I decided to try..the names of the heros are awful I almost didn;t read them for that reason alone, but I pushed on--those are the kind of vampires i like to read about. Yum.
