Oh, its not me, thank God! In fact DH & I were talking about the "what ifs" and he said he wouldnt even bother wasting his breath to ask me knowing how much I hate change. LOL! I guess someone told the wife that she could travel to places like South Africa  during the week since the kids are gone to school. Yeah, just where I would want to go... ALONE...with my kids in school...in CHINA!
But their 15 yr old is totally against it, and the 2 younger ones are ok with it. The 13 yo girl is just concerned whether she can take hip hop classes over there. ;)
To be honest I think they are very brave to do it. They seem to think its a wonderful opportunity for the kids. I dont see it as THAT great when weighed against the cons of the situation, but if they truly think it is that good, then I give them a lot of credit. Im just the type of person that is happy with my nice little life here and I have no need for adventure. I agree with the son...if it aint broke, dont fix it.

hhhmmmm I'm a if it ain't broke, break it kind of person. We will never know what could of been if, we settle for what has always been.

I would go in a heartbeat.

This is Poohstyx's DH, Cold Iron, I can't seem to get this comp. to change to my name!

When I was 10 my stepdad was hired by the Israel gov't. to dig deep water wells. He was a Texas oil well driller. I had not the slightest idea where the middle east was, much less Israel. But we went and I had an education that no school could teach. At the time the country was only 5 years old. We lived in Tel Aviv, Ashcalon and Beersheba. And I went to a Scottish boarding school located in Jaffa. Living among the people, I learned about the culture, background and religion of both the Jews and the Arabs. I have seen both the Jews and Arabs shooting at each other, and I have seen them living in the same cities. I have seen and talked with people with numbers tattooed on their forearm about their life and WW II. I have experienced things that schools just can't teach, and it was only possible because I had the chance to live it. I think you are passing up a great opportunity if you don't go.
