Could we get a data format standard for posts here?

It's really difficult sometimes to do a search to see if there's a thread for a particular cruise date. For example, you might see the same date posted all these ways

October 2nd
10-2
10/2
Oct 02
Oct. 02
October 02
10/02
10-02
10/2/2005
10/2/05
20051002
etc....

Maybe we should all decide on a specific date format to use in the title and see if a mod can sticky it to the top of this board.
