Could use a little pixie dust

My dear aunt, my 86 year old Mom's younger sister, her only sibling, was diagnosed this week as having terminal cancer. She lives in California (we're all in New Jersey). We were lucky that she came back east for a last visit in August. We think she knew something was wrong ... Greg and I will be in WDW this week, but our thoughts will be with her. My younger sister is taking my Mom out on Tuesday. Greg and I hope that she rallys and that we'll be able to make the trip next month. we'd appreciate your prayers and good thoughts (and a little pixie dust never hurts either). thanks ...

She's in Petaluma.

My Mom was a WWII war bride, she met my Dad in England. She came here in 1946. My aunt came over in 1953. In England, they grew up in orphanages. My Mom was the older and for a while they were in separate "schools" - eventually my aunt joint my Mom where she was.

I went to see Mom today - she's doing well - I think we're all thinking positive thoughts and hoping my aunt has more time.

Flying to WDW in a few hours. As Lois indicated, real life over the past several weeks (her aunt's health, a hurricane flooding my dad's basement, my 91 year old dad deciding to have surgery today, etc. etc.) has a way of putting things in perspective. We have done less planning for this trip than ever before. One dining reservation (Bistro de Paris tomorrow night), two F&W seminars and the F&W Classic on the weekend. Other than that, we're just winging it. We'll see how it goes. If you see two lost-looking souls wandering around the parks, it's probably us.
