I can only get a reservation with SciFi at 2:35 or 2:50. So DH suggested that we go in for a snack like shakes so that we can experience SciFi and eat CS for lunch. Can we use snack credits (on DDP) or will we need to plan for OOP?

If we do that what's a good CS place at DHS?

Not sure if I understand your question.

At Sci-Fi, no matter what you order you cannot use a snack credit to pay for it. Even if it is a shake.

It will either be a TS credit or paying OOP.

Now if you were asking if you could go in and just have something small like a shake and then leave going to eat lunch at a CS then yes you can do that. But again, Sci-Fi would be OOP.

Oh and it is ok food, nothing great. We did it last time because I had to experience it. Was glad I did but won't be returning.
Chicken sandwich is pretty good, onion rings as well. But nothing worth writing home about.

We love Sci Fi! Keep checking to see if you can get an earlier reservation. If not, consider eating a snack and using that as your lunch then do a late dinner.

As for good counter service at DHS....well, you won't find it really. It isn't horrible. With your kids ages, I suggest Toy Story Pizza Planet. It is basic pizza so it is ok but we have to visit every trip. It is just fun! Though do expect for the kids to want to play some games. It is an arcade after all.

We ate at a CS down by the enterance to Fantasmic. I can't remember the name but my DH got the chicken and ribs and he said it was really good.

if you really want to eat lunch there, try going early...around 11:15 (I believe they start serving at 11:30...at least that's what it was last year when we went) They were taking walk-ups before they opened, telling them 20 minute wait. Virtually no one was waiting, though...we were all seated right at 11:30. When we left there were a fair number of people waiting, so they do start backing up after awhile.

I don't understand why DHS gets such a bad rap for CS. Catalina Eddies has the most AMAZING hot Italian Deli Sandwich, EVERYTHING at Starring Rolls is great, and Fairfax Fare has the same Chicken and rib combo that everyone falls all over themselves getting at Cosmic Rays in the MK.

We often do just shakes and onion rings at Sci-fi. It is one of the places the boys like to go every trip. The food is good, the theme is terrific, and we love being in the dark and cool and watching the funny clips!
