My step-mom died on Monday from pancreatic cancer. Then while I am here in CT for funeral which is tomorrow and tuesday, my mom calls this morning and tells me my grandma died this morning at 4am.

I am just so heart broken. My poor DS has lost two grandmothers in one week.

Ah, I know the feeling. My dear Mom died at 2:55 AM on Thursday. We found out a few hours later that her sister in Indiana died at 2:15 AM (our time). We like to think that the sisters didn't want to hear of the other's passing and just went together.

I have learned to never tempt fate by asking that "can it get worse" question. Unfortunately, usually the answer is "yes".
