Anyone who has been thru this -- Please HELP ME!:teeth: I turned 40 this past June. I am on the 'pill' to control bleeding due to the fact that I have a very large fibroid tumor (had it for years now with no real complications).

Lately I have been crying at the drop of a pin. Have been having some problems with DD19 and haven't been handling them very well --- spent the weekend before last in tears nearly ALL weekend.

Poor Hubby --- I love him dearly and look forward to our cuddling but can hardly stand to be touched otherwise.:(

We had a family situation over the weekend with planning our Christmas gathering and I totally flipped out on Sister In law for planning something with her family rather that spending 3 hrs on Christmas with 'our' family. (Umm -- I had EVERY reason to complain which I won't go in to detail -- but I should have done it more pleasantly).;) I was VERY nasty to her.

I even caught myself making a few 'not so nice' posts over on the cruise board this week -- not like me.

I feel like I am on an emotional rollercoaster right now.

So -- COULD this be periMenopause already?

Yes. Join the club. :D

Uh...yep!! 'Fraid so. Wait until you can't sleep and the night sweats commence.

Welcome to the club!!! Back in the early 90's I had several miscarriages. Chaulked it up to my age...42. I was on my second marriage, already had two kids. Well, at 43 I get pregnant. Yippee. I was 'heck' on wheels to live with. But, no problems to speak of. Had the baby, healthy thank God. At my next full check-up, 1 yr. later, I tell the doctor that my periods have not gotten back on track. Understand that I had been extremely regular. He did blood work-ups. Lo and behold. I had completely gone thru the change, while being pregnant. Not wonder I was ripping people's faces off!!! WEnt on HRT and it was wonderful, but after 5 yrs. stopped due to mother's breast cancer. (runs in my family) Now I have hot flashes like you read about. So, in short, yep, you're there. A lot of my friends are going thru the same thing. Get yourself to the doctor, just so he/she can check and then give some advice on managing it. Keep in mind....those are 'power surges' you're having girl!!!!

I'm only 35 and I'm starting to show the symptoms too.
Isn't being a woman fun?

If nastiness with the in-laws is a symptom, I must have hit peri-menopause when I was 25.....

I suggest seeing a Dr. I am 46 and have no symptoms. Everyone is different and mood swings seem to go with being a woman at any age  :)

At 42 can honestly say, "Been there, done that and am still doing it". My GYN suggested a natural suppliment/vitamin called Estroven. You can get it anywhere. Call your Dr. they can give you some guidance over the phone if they deem it not necessary for you to come.

I actually envy those "youngsters" of you who are going through this! I am 56 and haven't quit yet!!!:o I would actually welcome some "changes" around here!

You can add me to the club too. I'm 37 and already have the stupid night sweats and mood swings. Perimenopause can start in your mid 30's, and it figures my body would be dumb enough to think it has to be "on time".

I am finding this very interesting reading! I have not had night sweats or any other symptoms other than an occational bad headache 12 hours before my period begins and I had a few hot flashes one month last summer. I can't imagine getting weepy either! Otherwise things seem to be going along just fine. I want this over with though!!!

Personally I think that they should come up with a way to get it over with as soon as you are done with the babies.

and acording to one of my friends, I am going thru it, however, my Male Doc. says NO! WHAT THE HECK DOES HE KNOW>>>he's a STUPID MAN!! I really think this is WHY I have High Blood pressure, suddenly, when I NEVER had it before!  Its a B**CH getting OLD! ;)

Male doctors only know what they've read in books - until one of them actually has to USE a feminine hygiene product, we females will listen to our OWN bodies thank you very much. ;)

ok Im 31 and showing all of those symptoms too. I read that is has something to do with how early you started as in " You only have so many in you, so when theyre gone welcome to the change" I started pretty young and I think thats whats happening my mom was in her early 40's when she started the change so I guess Im a little early but Ill tell you I have SO many of the symptoms its amazing!

You know Poohbear123...I always had border line low blood pressure, ever thru other pregnancies. Then, in my last pregnancy I had to be induced due to extremely high b/p. It had been fine every visit until that last one. And it was really high. My dr. shipped me right to the hospital. Now, I'm on b/p meds. I still think it was the 'change' that was happening at the same time as my pregnancy. But the doctors won't listen to me. So, I cut my meds down to every 3 days and there is no change in the b/p readings. Hmmmmm.

This is why I went on Paxil years ago. It has helped tremendously to take the "edge" off my anger. I have become a reasonable woman again. I can't take HRT.
