So I FINALLY got a nice CM who dug a little and discovered that, lo and behold, my dad had a magical, mythical pin code attached to his name. :yay: The price for a preferred room at Pop for 4 nights Dec. 11-15, with an additional adult charge, went from $468 rack rate to $340 AAA rate, to $265.96 with the pin code. How do I figure out the discount percentage?

And what's odd to my poor tired brain is that the price of the total package with 5-day hoppers and basic dining didn't go down very much at all -- from $2190 total off the website to $2020 with the pin code. Does that seem right?

I hate being mathmatecally challenged... :( Any help is appreciated!!

I don't have a calculator handy, and I'm too tired to actually think, so I'll guestimate for you:

Your room went from $468 to $266. Fifty percent of $468 would be $234. So I'm guessing you got 40%

You saved $202. The difference in your package cost went down $170... I'm guessing that last $30 is either taxes or the cost for that additional person??

Thank you very much, that's just what I wanted to know! :goodvibes

The $468 rack rate includes 12.5% resort tax
94+10=$104 + 12.5% tax ($13)=$117*4 nights = $468

the AAA rate is 20% off and does NOT include tax

$94 - 20% ($18.80)=$75.20 + $10=$85.20 * 4 nights = $340.80

The pin does NOT include tax

$94 - 40% ($37.60)=$56.40 + $10=$66.40 * 4 nights = $265.60

The pin should save you $37.60 + 12.5%=42.30 *4 nights=$169.20

You saved $2,190 - $2,020 = $170
