Could not get DDP

I was told that I was not able to get the DDP because we got a CM discount at the Poly. Is this correct? I'm not complaining but would have LOVED to have gotten the DDP as well....

Yep Room only rates don't let you get the "package with the DDP" We just took advantage of a discount through my DH's job, and were not able to add the DDP... But I am sure the discount you got for the Poly is still a better deal than adding the DDP...

As a CM, don't you get discounts at restaurants, as well? I was a CM back in the 90's, but things might have changed.

How much was the room discount? Maybe it will be cheaper to just pay OOP if the discount is large. Maybe it all equals out in the end anyway.

When are you going? We have a CM in the family, and most of the time she doesn't know until a month or so before if they can add the dining plan, although sometimes they know when they cannot. For example, we are going in December, and she said she wouldn't know until October if she can add the dining plan.

And the CM would need to be staying in the room, and the res under their name. And that is IF the room and CM DDP is offered/available. (Big IF all the way around, and just luck of the draw.)
As stated, since it is a room only 40% disc, no DDP can be added.

Wow, a 40% discount!! That's great!! Maybe things will work out and you will be able to add dp later. But if not, you have a wonderful discount at a wonderful resort. I go there just to visit Kona, for the ***COFFEE***. I hope to stay there someday!!!

We stay on a CM F&F discount and do not qualify for the DDP.

Honestly, the CM perks make up for any discount the DDP might offer so I am happy to give it up.

I would guess that getting the 40% discount on the room will pay for your food for the week and you will still have a few dollars left over at the end of your trip.
