Hi,

I was planning on visiting the mouse on januray 5th through 15th but the values seem to be sold out according to the web site :(

Is it different if we call ?
Quick question about discounts too.. i am canadian and there is the promotion to hop and more fun for free, does that offer combine with anything ?
For example is there and AP room credit i can get and then add the code for the canadian promotion ?

Now if we can't get into value that really changes the numbers of the budget... any thoughts or alternatives ?

Thanks !

If you have based your information on the Disneyworld.com website, then I say call them directly. I have gotten dfferent availability information on the telephone than from the website on multiple occasions.

yes very likely! we modified our dates b/c of that! i called yesterday to see about th 6th and they only had ssr and ft wilderness cabins! :(

Ok what is the marathon thing ?

How are the crouds from the 13th to the 22nd ?
And the weather.... i am basing the trip based on the best flight deal i can get (almost 50-100$ off on some days) i figure it is the best way to decide the dates since the Disney rates don't change from one day to the next but the availibility does..

Does that sound right ?

I am not sure but i think it is best onsite if we want to go back to the hotel for a nap with the youngest..

I think that the buses are frequent enough not to wait too long to go back and forth.

I tend to respectfully disagree.... you can wait up to 15-20 minutes at times to get a bus, I've heard of worse stories than that to boot! If you have a car you leave whenever you like and be home in 5 minutes, we leave the parks regularly for nap time and let the kids swim in our pool in the afternoon. Personally I hate being on crowded buses, especially at night when they're just jam packed, no thanks! If I want to ride the CTA I can go down to Chicago, but definitely not when I'm on vacation! LOL It's a little tougher to do this from the MK than the other 3 granted due to having to take the ferry/monorail to get to where the parking is located, but that's never stopped us. Usually when we come back we can park right up close too.

Resorts like Windsor Hills, Windsor Palms, and Emerald Island are in fact, closer than some of the Disney properties you reach via bus, you just need a car to get to/from there. (2 miles to Windsor Hills Resort from WDW Maingate entrance). I used priceline and got a luxury sized rental for $20/day in September, could have gotten a smaller car for even less, and it also enabled us to visit the grocery store, offsite restaurants if we wanted to, etc.

I know some people are very set on staying onsite, I used to be the same way myself, but once we discovered how incredible an offsite property is compared to a small overpriced hotel room, we'd honestly never go back! Been doing it since our daughter was 3.

My memory is failing me, but I am pretty sure 1/11-1/14 is the contractors convention, the largest convention in Orlando by far with 130,000+ attendees. Pretty much every hotel on this side of town sells out for that.
