Could I do this any cheaper? aka any discounts/codes available?

Sounds like you have a great plan!

The only additional cost I see that wasn't included was parking. Park is $15/day at the park.

I hope this helps!

Exactly what I was referring to! Plus, she wants to schedule a surfing lesson in there too, so she will be way overpaying for the tickets she currently is thinking about.

As I said, it seems like too many activities, and with tickets being at a premium price, I would just do the theme parks, with maybe 1 water park day, as some of us have mentioned, and leave it at that.

We go for 2 weeks each summer, and we don't even do that much stuff!

I'm less concerned about the # of activities 'cause I don't know the OP's energy level. Just trying to make sure OP isn't paying for more tickets than they can physically use. Sounds like either a 5-day base ticket + 1 out of pocket WP day. Or, a 5-day premium Y.E.S. ticket would cover all the bases w/o the need to pay for a 6-day ticket :)

I am not concerned about energy level, as I have no idea about that.

I am looking at number of days, activities planned, off site and ages of children. All of that goes together to mean a very action packed 6 days - so action packed, that the paid for activities may be rushed. And those paid activities may take away from the park days. And she still has water park days to schedule in there.

It has to do with paying for all of those tickets, and not having enough time to do the activities that she has scheduled, and essentially then she has overpaid for tickets. Which is the same thing that you are saying. :thumbsup2

P.S. Good call to above poster who discovered that parking was missing from budget!

My family of 7 is going to WDW MAy26-June 2. We cannot change the dates as we'll be pretty busy this summer.
It will be dh, ds13, dd 10, dd 5, dd 2, dd 1, and myself.

This is what I have so far:

6 day tickets includes waterpark: $1,603 with the mousesavers/undercovertourist

Food: $300-500?
We plan to eat out probably twice. We love Chevy's! Other than that we plan to take a cooler in the park for lunches and have quick dinners at the condo.

Condo: $594.00 its at windsor palms. We've been there twice now and love it.

Souvenirs: $250 or less

Indoor Skydiving at iflyorlando: $270

Surfing lessons x3 at TL: $450

Gas: $300.. (includes cheap mcd's on the way)

Total: $3,967.00

So I do mypoints and swagbucks, ebates, etc but I'm not sure of any other way of bringing the cost down without canceling the extras.

I would add more for food. 300 for a family of 7 seems just bizarre to me. If you want to save money I would cut out skydiving and surfing. You need to add parking too.

and gas both to and from home, plus to the parks and skydiving place. 5 days of parking is $75(water park parking is free). I'd say at least a tank of gas that week, plus whatever gas you need there and back.

We took a big cooler back in November with no problems.

There actually are cooler restrictions/guidelines:

Full size coolers whether with or without wheels are not permitted
Coolers smaller than 24"L x 15"W x 18"H (the size of the large lockers) are allowed
Neither glass or alcoholic beverages are permitted

The problem is that Disney doesn't consistently enforce this rule, just like they don't for wearing Heelys or smoking in undesignated areas.

After logging a million park hours, I have seen my fair share of rolling coolers, so it's good to alert OP to the cooler restrictions, so that way, she is in compliance, since she seems to be planning on bringing in a daily amount of food for a large amount of people.

Perhaps a soft-sided cooler to stow away under her stroller? We do this in the summer in order to store our water bottles, and it works out great!

So, looking at iflyOrlando's website, couldn't you do 3 of the 54.95 packages and have 2 "flights" each? Of course, each flight is only a minute. Just seems like an awful lot of money to spend on a short time.

And as far as surfing, you could do something like this

Fantasy Surf

You can get 30 minutes on the Flowrider for $15. It's similar to surfing and a lot less money.

Maybe you could get a copy of the Orlando Visitor's Guide from http://www.visitorlando.com

There are so many cool things to do in Orlando for a decent price.
