Could DD be teething?

I just took DD to the doctor last Monday and she had double ear infections....AGAIN. She never just has an infection in one ear, it's always both. But the infections aren't close enough together for the doctor to consider tubes. I was asked when I took her to the doctor last week if she had been running a fever and she had not.

She hasn't shown any other symptoms of being sick. Last night, she wouldn't eat dinner. I think we got her to eat two bites. When I gave her the antibiotic, I also gave her a little Tylenol because she felt really warm. She was in bed at 8:00. About midnight she wakes up crying. At that point, I thought she was having stomach distress because she was passing gas and burping. I got her to go back to bed. She wakes up again about 30 minutes or so later. This time, daddy got her back to bed. I was having a hard time falling sleep last night and I had just drifted off right before 2:00 when she wakes up again. This time I just brought her to our room. I discovered that she was burning up. Her whole body was on fire. I gave her some Motrin because our doctor recommends alternating between Tylenol and Motrin for fever. Well, the poor girl did not feel good and was so restless. She did not fall asleep until 6:00 am! Which meant mommy and daddy didn't fall asleep until 6:00 am! Daddy stayed home with her today and when I left for work, her fever was 99.7. I was a bad mommy and didn't check it at 2:00 am, but I know it was much higher than that. I've checked on her periodically today, and DH said that she still feels warm, but that she's starting to act a little more like herself. He hasn't checked her temperature, only feeling of her body heat. So she seems to be running a low-grade temp at this point, but it doesn't appear to actually be breaking.

My question is I wonder if it could be 2 year old molars. She'll be 2 next month and hasn't gotten those yet. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 2 months old and never wakes up unless she's sick, and that's only been a few times. Last night was a very different night than we're used to. DH has tried to look in her mouth and she won't let him, but that's not new. I don't think it could be a fever from the ear infections since she has been on antibiotics for six days. Did anyone else go through this with teething? Anything else it could be? I just can't stand being at work and her home sick.
