Could date based tickets actually mean bigger discounts coming?

I was just thinking with date based tickets Disney could more easily be aggressive with pricing once parks reopen for a short period. I know they have run deals in the past but with tickets having very specific dates for usage it would be easy for them to run a deal for a limited time.

Of course they had no clue this was all going to happen, but they just raised prices so I don't think the regular date based tickets will see any kind of discount. I think most likely approach they'll take is by way of room discounts and/or free dining.
