I have the Panasonic DMC-TS3. It is a waterproof (up to 40 ft. for an hour), crushproof, Reese proof, dust proof p&s camera. It offers 4.7x optical and up to 24x digital zoom.
The camera takes amazing low light pictures as well, which is very important for a theme park. It also take true HD videos (1080p at 40 FPS, I believe is the frame rate).
It looks like the camera you are looking at has similar functions, but is not shockproof/waterproof/etc., but has a larger optical zoom. Please note that I find zooming pats about 5x to be hard to keep the camera steady enough to take a good shot without built-in image stabilization.
Overall, I have to say that Panasonic products are extremely durable and well made. I had a dot matrix printer many years ago that lasted about 15 years, the only reason I threw it out was because you could no longer buy ribbon for it. I have had several other Panasonic electronics over the years and the reason for getting rid of them is always something along those lines, basically thatyou can no longer get the consumables for them. They never really die. I would not recommend getting an extended warranty for any Panasonic device for this very reason.
Oh, one more thing about my camera is hat when I turn it on, it is virtually instant that I can start taking pictures.
