Cough -- Cough -- is this Add-On Fever?

Folks,

As many of you may have already learned, DD, DW and I returned from our first visit home to SSR this past week. We had a wonderful time and I'm already planning our next trip home in March of 2006.

One problem I have discovered -- we won't have enough points to do the 5 nights at SSR, and I'm not going to hold my breath for getting 5 nights in a 2BR at OKW during the spring break "season" at the 7 month window (we borrowed some Oct 2005 points to send DW's parents to OKW for 5 nights in February as a 45th wedding anniversary gift.)

When we bought in January '04, the 150 points were going to do us beautifully for the rest of our lives. We would have to bank points -- perhaps even rent some out, but things are looking different now that we have fallen in love with DVC and want to share it with family and friends. So here I am playing with Caskbill's DVC Planner and David Frederickson's DVC Manager and comparing scenarios when I realize that a 25 point add-on @ SSR would solve all my problems.

So this is how it starts. Help -- I think I have the flu. :faint:

Don't worry, DVC Guides are really med techs incognito, they have a "miracle cure" for your conditon...but sometimes it takes several doses to be fully effective.

Hi,

Good luck with your add on's!!!!

Allison

I haven't been diagnosed with the fever yet, though I think I had even before we were officially in. But, if I had to guess, I think it sounds like you do have the fever. SORRY! Start saving for the cure.
Oh, by the way, is this fever contagious? If it i, thanks for sharing it with all of us!
We're still paying for our original purchase and can't wait to add on already!

With you living that far North, you of all people should know that the "fever" is likely to return at least 2 times in any given year(the winters are quite long up there) but not to worry the good folks at the DVC hospital will do house (phone) calls and cure "this years" fever, you might want to get a double dose of this year's medication and maybe, just maybe it will not come back.

Ah... that is untill next year or your next vacation.

Good Luck
I've been fighting this this same fever for years, and I'm happy to say it's winning. ::yes::

I wouldn't hold my breath, either - because I doubt you will have one smidgeon of trouble getting an OKW 2 bedroom at 7 months even if it is "spring break season". I don't think you'll even have to use the wait list.

You probably do just have the flu, LOL.

Best wishes -

P.S. Add on fever will manifest eventually, though. :teeth:

RoyalCanandian I too was stricked with the "Flu" on my last trip this past October. There was only one cure and I knew it. I only had 200 points and I needed more. I quickly purchased 130 more at SSR and I felt better almost immediately!! I was amazing. However I do understand that this "flu" can strike many times. So far I'm okay. But you never know.....

I'm not sure if I should wish you a speedy recovery, or not :flower1:
How about if I just wish you good health and many wonderful memories at your new home. :wizard:
