Couch buying - decorating dilemna

Check that out before you order the couch as it might not be possible. It isn't the darkness but instead the tones that are important.

Changing the fireplace to beige stone might be an option to consider. That way the red couch with definitely go!

Or tile, or rock - SIGH!! This house is going to drive me nuts, I can see it already!
